Story
Hi, I'm Allegra! I'm a quiet and sweet petite cat. I'm gentle and love people once I feel safe.I'm a drooler when happy. I had some ear infections but those are cleared up now. I am trying a hypoallergenic food in case my ear infections were caused by a food allergy.I was in a foster home at a shelter in Pendleton for a long time and didn't get any attention there so I came to Portland. I'm a bit scared of other cats and I would be afraid of dogs and kids.I would make a great companion for a quiet adult home. I'm 100% a magnet cat. I'm a major lap sitter/bedtime cuddler. If you sit down for more than 1 minute with a blanket I am guranteed to sit with you no matter the circumstances/way you are sitting, and I love nothing more than to sleep next you at night. I'm an EXPERT biscuit maker.I love to play with you! But I will also keep myself busy if necessary, especially with the right toys.I will let you sleep in and I'm not particularly noisy about food at a specific time.I love to window watch for hours.I am not mischievous or a wild climber. I am shy at first with house guests but become comfortable very easily. I'll sit with your house guests too by the end of their visit!I'm in a foster home so if you would like to meet me please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.orgMy estimated birthdate is 11/16/2017.

Story
Meow! I'm the very charming and cuddly Tabitha! I'm a special girl who has diabetes that is currently being controlled by a pill once a day.I just adore people and I am pretty much always ready to get on a lap. I like to play a bit and I might be ok with other cats. I've lived with other cats before and supposedly liked them. I am declawed.Currently they are trying this new diabetic pill for me so I don't have to get insulin shots. After some more tests over the next month, I might only need blood tests every 6 months or a year if I'm stable on this pill. My estimated birthdate is 10/1/2012.

Story
My name is Marion and I'm a special kitty looking for a special foster or adopted home. I'm a very gentle cat but I'm also very scared lately. I've had a string of bad luck. My favorite person passed away unexpectedly. Then a few weeks later my other person also passed away. It was traumatizing for me, especially with emergency services coming into the home and my people not coming back. I had a good friend in a chihuhua but we were split up because the family of my people were allergic to cats. So my life turned completely upside down and I was fed in the empty home for a while before coming to Animal Aid. I was discovered to be in Stage 3 kidney disease and I was very thin. I'm eating ok and I get 3x/a week subQ fluids to help with my kidneys. I was very shut down and terrified for a few weeks. I would loose control of my bladder when people tried to pet me. Thankfully I've learned to trust people again and I am starting to enjoy petting. Despite still giving an initial hiss I will headbump your hand for pets and I've strated to purr and make biscuits. I won't come out of my hiding spots yet but I allow people to pick me up to sit in their lap for my fluids. Throughout all my fear I have never tried to bite or scratch. I have a true heart of gold and I'm looking for a place to be safe in my golden years. I could use a foster or adopted home who is willing to continue my fluid therapy and be patient with me.It's unknown how I feel about other cats or other dogs. I would be too scared for a home with children. My estimated birthdate is 9/1/2011.
