Story
Meet Dorito, the big orange boy you've been searching for your whole life! Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat At 5 years old, Dorito is a big, handsome orange gentleman with a heart as warm as his sunny coat. He’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate — the kind of cat who’s happy to lounge nearby while you go about your day, but always ready to remind you he’s there with his calm, steady presence and slow blinks. Dorito is patient and takes life at his own easy pace. He’s not one for chaos or drama — he prefers cozy windowsills, soft blankets, and quiet companionship. If you’re looking for a cat who will respect your space but still make you feel loved, Dorito is your guy. And when it comes to cuddles? He is all about them, as long as you respect his boundaries. Tummy rubs are not Dorito's "thing" and he also doesn't love being carried around like a baby... He has a reputation to uphold! Underneath that adorable orange exterior is a sweet soul who enjoys affection and trusts his people. Dorito would thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle independence and rewards his affectionate side with chin scratches and cozy nap spots. He’s past the kitten chaos stage and fully settled into his role as a loyal, mellow companion. If you’re ready to add a big, warm, slightly chatty lovebug to your life, Dorito is waiting to meet you. --- Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Dorito is ~5 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. He does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! This nacho cheese flavored good boy would do well as an only cat or with an equally laid-back resident cat in the household. He doesn't seek out trouble with his foster siblings, but if they get too close or too wild, he will let out a disgruntled hiss or two. Dorito is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Meet Chowder-Your laid-back little lovebug! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Chowder is an adorable tabby kitten with sweetest personality and the softest purr. This easygoing girl is as chill as they come-a true go-with-the-flow kitten who's happy to adapt to whatever the day brings. Pick her up and she simply melts into your arms, rumbling away like a tiny motorboat. She absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up all the cuddles you're willing to give. Lovey, gentle, and oh-so-sweet, Chowder is the kind of kitten who makes every day feel a little warmer. Chowder also enjoys playtime with her siblings and can hold her own in a kitten wrestling match, but she's just as content lounging nearby and keeping you company. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate kitten who will grow into a devoted companion, Chowder is ready to snuggle her way right into your heart. Chowder is ~3 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home! Story
Meet Pippie 💕 Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Pippie is a little over one year old, and she is the definition of gentle sweetness. While she can be just a touch more cautious than her brother Tiger (who is also adoptable), her loving personality shines through the moment she feels safe. She approaches new situations thoughtfully, taking a second to observe — but once she knows you’re a friend, she blossoms into the most affectionate, cuddly companion. Rescued from a hoarding situation alongside her siblings, Pippie didn’t have the easiest start in life. But with patience and love in her foster home, she’s grown into a devoted little lady who adores human attention. She may not barrel into your lap immediately, but give her a little reassurance and she’ll happily curl up beside you, purring softly. Pippie is wonderfully snuggly and loves being close to her people. She enjoys gentle pets, cozy nap spots, and quiet bonding time. Pick her up and she’ll settle in sweetly, often making biscuits while her purr motor hums. She has a soft, tender nature that makes her such a special companion. She’s also playful in that charming, slightly dainty way — batting at toys, chasing strings, and wrestling with her foster buddies when she’s feeling confident. She’s past the wild kitten phase but still enjoys a good play session before settling in for cuddle time. After a difficult beginning, Pippie is ready for her forever home — one that will appreciate her sensitive heart and give her the reassurance she needs to fully thrive. In return, she’ll offer endless love, loyalty, and the sweetest companionship. 💗 — Pippie has a nearly identical brother named Tiger who is also adoptable! While they would each do well in separate homes, they make an especially adorable pair for anyone considering two sweet siblings. Pippie is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in excellent health. She keeps her litter box tidy and has wonderful house manners. After living in a colony/hoarding situation, Pippie gets along great with other cats and would likely thrive with a feline friend in her forever home. She has never met a dog, but given her calm and sweet personality we believe that with proper introductions she could do great with a new, calm, pup sibling! ---
