Story
Hi I'm Lewis and I am the shelters longest term kitten. I've been here for so long I could be considered an adult soon! I came into CHA with my mom and sister who went home a while ago! Part of the reason I have been here for so long is due to some litter box issues that I have had. Well here's some good news! For the past few months I have only used my litterbox and never my bedding when having to go potty! The workers even tested me overnight in an open room and I was a good boy and have learned to use the litterbox more consistently! I am a very spunky boy, I just wish I had enough room and a family to play with so I can get some pent up energy out and take some long naps! I love looking out the Lobby windows and seeing the pretty sky. Would someone give me a chance at a home? I would do best in a home with kids over the age of 12, if you want you can even dress me up in outfits! I am a bit scared of dogs and sometimes play a little too rough with other kitties so i would do best as the only animal in the house, at least until I get situated! All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm. A minimum adoption fee of $185 is required for adult dogs, puppy adoption fees start $300, and dogs over the age of 10 are $100. Adult cat adoption fees are $85, kittens under one year are $135, and cats over the age of 10 are $50.

Story
Meet Budz, a big, handsome tabby with an even bigger heart—he’s just learning how to share it. This adult boy has a large, majestic presence, but beneath that impressive exterior is a sensitive soul still figuring out how to trust people.Budz is cautious at first, preferring to observe from a safe spot while he decides if you’re worthy of his attention. But with patience, kindness, and a calm environment, he’s beginning to show his softer side. Quiet company, slow movements, and respectful space are the keys to helping him bloom. For the right person, Budz will be a deeply rewarding companion—a cat who won’t take you for granted and whose trust, once earned, means everything. If you believe in giving shy animals the time and love they need to feel safe, Budz may be the perfect match waiting for you.All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Meet Tittles!🐾The Fabulous Four: Mama, Widow, Tittles & Nugget 🐾Looking for some extra love (and extra cat) in your life? These four delightfully round, friendly felines are ready to steal your heart—and probably your spot on the couch. 💕✨ Mama – A gorgeous dilute calico with a warm, nurturing vibe. She’s sweet, friendly, and gives off strong “cat who knows where the snacks are kept” energy.✨ Widow – A classic tabby with a more aloof, dignified personality. She enjoys affection on her terms and brings a calm, mysterious presence to the group.✨ Tittles – A friendly tabby boy who loves attention and is always happy to be included in whatever you’re doing (especially if it involves food).✨ Nugget – An orange tabby and the perfect little chunk of sunshine. Nugget is affectionate, social, and very much lives up to his name. While each has their own unique personality, they all share one thing in common: they’re very friendly and people-loving. Because they’re used to having feline companionship, they would do best going home in pairs—double the cats, double the love, double the cuddles. 🐱🐱If you’re ready to welcome a pair of lovable, chunky companions into your home, these four are waiting to meet you! 💖All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped.
