Meet **Bear**, an 11-year-old small dog with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love. Bear came to the NHSPCA after his beloved owner passed away and, sadly, no next of kin could be found. Since then, he has been showered with care, comfort, and kindness-and it shows.Bear is a sweet senior who enjoys the simple things and appreciates gentle companionship. While he is currently obese, he's been receiving attentive care and is looking great. During his time with us, Bear has had several important medical needs addressed, including treatment for chronic dry eye, which had been causing him discomfort. He is now on daily eye medication to help keep his eyes comfortable and healthy. He has also had a mass removed from his backside and recently underwent a dental cleaning with extractions, helping him feel much better overall.Bear is ready for a calm, loving home with someone who understands that senior pets still have so much love to give - and preferably no stairs. He's looking for a family who wants a loyal little friend and doesn't mind helping with his simple daily eye medication routine. Story
Goose is a pure bred Havanese, he is 2 years and 2 months old. He has never bitten anyone and is great with kids. He has high energy and loves to play. His favorite games are catch me if you can and tug of war. He travels extremely well, long car rides are not a problem. He'll either curl up on your lap or sleep in the back seat. He has also flown dozens of times and is the perfect passenger on a plane. He is welcome at his local doggy day care and plays well with other dogs in a social setting. However, when goose is leashed he cannot be trusted with other dogs for some reason. He reacts aggressivly towards them. Goose needs a home where he is the center of attention, no other pets. In that setting he's great. With other pets in the home however, he's a bit of a bully. And although he's house trained, when other pets are in the home he will still want to mark his territory, hense the recommendation for him to be the only pet in the home.
