WeHelpAnimals Attachments 9:52 AM (0 minutes ago) to me Meet Bennie…a 2.5 year old, 9lb, male Havanese. Bennie was actually bought from a Havanese breeder and he certainly checks all the boxes of the characteristics. Bennie may look dainty when in full-coat, but he is all muscle, very sturdy, and has enough energy for a couple of neighborhood sprints daily. And that’s exactly how he ended up with us…he was sprinting around his neighborhood on a regular basis after escaping from the backyard. Bennie is very athletic and can jump. He would be the perfect candidate for agility classes. He is so smart and needs to be challenged. He is loving, gives kisses, and loves to snuggle. He adores toys and likes going on walks. Bennie is a fun little guy but one who needs a very secured 6 foot backyard fence…he can go over a baby gate like being on a balance beam and 4 ft aluminum fencing …no problem. He needs an active pet parent that works from home. As far as children, he was around grandchildren before rescue and he does well with most dogs. He has enjoyed playing with his foster playmates. Bennie is house-trained and fully vetted…neutered, bloodwork, vaccines, hw neg, hw/flea prevention, microchipped, and groomed. Speaking of grooming…he had never been groomed and wasn’t a fan of it. So an experienced groomer needs to work with him. He has been shaved but has a beautiful silky coat. Meet Poppy 🌸 — 14 pounds of fluff, feelings, and fetch obsession. At just one year old, Poppy is equal parts playful goofball and soft-hearted little soul. She came from a puppy mill, so the world is still a lot sometimes—but give her a minute (and maybe toss a ball her way), and you’ll see her personality bloom. Poppy LOVES other dogs and would be happiest with a confident canine buddy to show her the ropes. She plays hard—like “full send, no brakes” kind of fun—so she’d do best with dogs her size or bigger who can keep up with her enthusiasm. Tiny dogs need not apply… unless they enjoy being lovingly bulldozed during zoomies. She’s great with kids, crate trained, and working on her house manners like a champ. Leash walking is still a “we’re figuring it out together” situation, but she’s trying—and having a dog friend to lead the way would help her feel more confident. Poppy is a quiet girl overall, saving her voice mostly for when a new person enters her home (someone’s gotta announce it, right?). She may be shy at first, but underneath that cautious start is a deeply loving, loyal little dog who bonds hard and loves even harder. Her hobbies include: • Playing fetch like it’s an Olympic sport • Following her dog friends everywhere • Being brave in small, beautiful ways • Quietly stealing your heart when you least expect it Poppy doesn’t need perfection—she just needs someone patient, kind, and maybe already owned by a friendly dog who can show her that life is actually pretty great. Bo is a special little senior white Bichon Frise boy who is 11 years young and weighs 16 pounds. A solid little spry and bouncy boy that loves to cuddle, go for long walks and to ride anywhere you take him in the car! Most of Bo's life he has lived with a man who now is facing severe health issues complicated by dementia. Over time the living conditions in the home were nothing short of neglect and despair for both the man and the dogs who he has loved for years. Friends of Bo's owner stepped in and got the man medical care and took the dogs into their homes to foster and find new owners for the future. There was no going back to live with their owner who was most likely never coming home. Although both dogs  were loved by their owner, Bo was always the favorite.  Most likely, because of his chill personality and how he loves to just cuddle and watch TV. If he's nervous, he's not one to pace or bark nonstop. If he's sad or scared, he tends to gently howl, but is easy to calm. Bo will easily bond with someone who loves and cares for him. He won't complain if he's allowed to sleep next to his new owner but also seems content being in the same room so he can see you. He is crate trained, but during the last six months he was often left neglected and locked up too much, so he is loving the freedom of not having to sit in one all day and night. He travels very well in a crate. He is potty trained and loves long walks. He is not a biter of anyone or any dog and he coexists with his foster parents and their dogs and cat. Bo is a terrific boy who has many many years of vibrant life and love to give away to someone that truly needs it. Story
Chip has been with us since he was a puppy. He is hypoallergenic, does not shed, and is about 10lbs.He is 5 years old and truly a wonderful dog. It breaks our family’s hearts to be going this path.Chip is rambunctious and the cuddliest and most loving dog. What Chip needs and values is routine with low traffic in and out of his space. Recently, we’ve moved into a neighborhood where the neighbors and kids are constantly in and out and now that our kids are older, there are multiple high energy kids running around at all times. We’ve always joked that he was a grumpy old man. Before our kids got older and both my husband and I worked from home, he had a nice and quiet little life which we know is what he truly needs. He is potty trained and crate trained for sleeping at night. Looking for a home for Chip that is lower in energy. He deserves it.
