Story
Baxter loves his people! He is super sweet and is a snuggle bug. He was found as a stray so we don't know much about him. The vet thinks he is about 1.5 years old. We've been fostering him for 3 weeks and we've noticed that he's smart and sensitive, as poodles tend to be. He is in general easy going. He doesn't get along with cats. We have had to separate our cats in another part of the house. He and our other dog, who is about the same age but bigger, love to play together, but Baxter has exhibited some resource guarding around treats, and we feed them in separate rooms. My gut instinct is that Baxter would be happiest as an only dog, but he might do well with an older, calmer dog, or with a female. He has never had an accident in the house. He is good at leash walks. While walking, he might go up to a strange dog for a quiet nose to nose meeting or he might bark at one from a distance -- just depends. He is a great dog in need of a good home!
