Lucy sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate and is continuing to work on her potty and leash training. She will thrive with a patient, loving family who will give her the time and encouragement she needs to continue building confidence and learning. And there is one thing you should know about Lucy—she’s a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan! Story
Veyda is a 6-year-old Mini Bernedoodle and a retired puppy mill mama who is now ready to discover what life is really supposed to be like. Like many puppy mill survivors, Veyda is understandably cautious and initially bonds most closely with women. She is currently quite shy and shut down, but underneath that uncertainty is an incredibly sweet girl who is just waiting for someone to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Veyda is up to date on her vaccinations and was spayed and given a dental cleaning on July 21. She has already taken some very important steps on her journey toward a brighter future - and with the right family, we know there are many more happy milestones ahead. Our sweet girl Veyda had a short adventure trying to live in the city, but she quickly showed us that the hustle and bustle just wasn’t the right fit for her. She’s now back in rescue and patiently waiting for a family in a quiet suburban neighborhood where she can truly feel safe and at home. Veyda would do best in a home with at least one confident, friendly canine companion who can help show her the ropes and teach her what being a carefree dog is all about. Because she can be sensitive to noise and activity, we feel she would be happiest in a home without young children. A securely fenced backyard is an absolute must, giving Veyda a safe space to explore, decompress, and build her confidence at her own pace. Most importantly, Veyda needs a compassionate family who understands that trust cannot be rushed. This shut-down sweetheart will need time, patience, consistency, and lots of love before she feels comfortable enough to let her personality shine. Story
Miley is a 5-year-old red Cavapoo (Cavalier/Poodle mix) who is very new to rescue, and is already making a wonderful impression. She is incredibly loving and affectionate and wants to be close to her people. She’s happiest when beside you and in less than 24 hours, is already resting her head in foster mom's lap while cuddling on the couch. Miley came from a puppy mill, but you would never know it from meeting her. She is comfortable with both men and women and loves her foster dad - greeting him with the same excitement she shows foster mom. She is doing well with potty breaks, although we’re still getting to know her and can’t say she is fully house-trained yet. She isn’t a fan of the leash, but we’ll continue working on that with her. She has her spay appointment on October 15th and will be eligible to finalize an adoption soon after. Interested in meeting her?
