She’s a little shy at first but loves other dogs and is happy to curl up for a nap with her foster mom. Unfortunately he spent his 10 months on earth stuck at a puppy mill and is still learning how to be a dog. Echo was surrendered into rescue from a New York breeder. He is adjusting to his new life as pet and he is a young smart little dog. He learned how to walk on leash in just one week and did great with the groomer. Echo is also doing well with his house breaking. Although he is very nervous about people, when he relaxes and feels safe, he wants all the love. He loves to sit on a lap. Story
Veyda is a 6-year-old Mini Bernedoodle and a retired puppy mill mama who is now ready to discover what life is really supposed to be like. Like many puppy mill survivors, Veyda is understandably cautious and initially bonds most closely with women. She is currently quite shy and shut down, but underneath that uncertainty is an incredibly sweet girl who is just waiting for someone to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Veyda is up to date on her vaccinations and was spayed and given a dental cleaning on July 21. She has already taken some very important steps on her journey toward a brighter future - and with the right family, we know there are many more happy milestones ahead. Our sweet girl Veyda had a short adventure trying to live in the city, but she quickly showed us that the hustle and bustle just wasn’t the right fit for her. She’s now back in rescue and patiently waiting for a family in a quiet suburban neighborhood where she can truly feel safe and at home. Veyda would do best in a home with at least one confident, friendly canine companion who can help show her the ropes and teach her what being a carefree dog is all about. Because she can be sensitive to noise and activity, we feel she would be happiest in a home without young children. A securely fenced backyard is an absolute must, giving Veyda a safe space to explore, decompress, and build her confidence at her own pace. Most importantly, Veyda needs a compassionate family who understands that trust cannot be rushed. This shut-down sweetheart will need time, patience, consistency, and lots of love before she feels comfortable enough to let her personality shine. But for the right family, watching Veyda blossom will be an incredibly rewarding journey. Do you have the time, patience, and the right home for Miss Veyda?
