Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Some cats have unique personality traits that need to be honored and respected, and beautiful LUNA LU is one of those! Luna needs to be the ONLY CAT in the household and preferably the only animal; as she has told us in no uncertain terms that she doesn't like to share her person/people. She is happiest when she can get your full attention. Her true demeanor will shine if she is in a home that is gentle and not too demanding, otherwise you could have a feisty fluff. Here are her shining stars as listed by her foster mom: "She is the first to greet you in the bathroom. She will lay next to you, she will lay on you and she will lay at the foot of your bed. She is loving and will show with her nuzzling. She isn't fond of being picked up and held for extended time, probably because of her larger sized frame. She is faithful to a clean litterbox. She loves her vertical scratching post and her flat cardboard-scratch box. I have never seen her pick any furniture with her claws." Himalayan cats are indoor-only cats. Himalayans are not fighters by nature. They would not do well, defensively, against typical outdoor animals, so her adopter must remain vigilant and not let her outdoors! **She is currently on prescription dry food, due to having sensitive digestion issues which could be due to stress. **She isn't fond of a lot of brushing, so a clip at least once a year is recommended to eliminate the matting that can occur due to her thick dense coat.  Her adoption fee is $85.00     Successful adopters will live locally in Lynchburg City or Campbell County, or a county touching Campbell County. Alternatively, if you live outside our local area, have a vet reference whom we can contact to verify that your pets have all been spayed/neutered and current with heartworm testing and rabies vaccines, we would consider your application as a "foster to adopt" conditional adoption.  Please start the adoption process with an application, found here: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 1, 2024, 3:47 pm
