Story
This is Mila. She is a 4 year old huskita. She needs a fenced in backyard or to be on a chain other wise she will go explore the town. She is the sweetest and goofiest dog. She is a good dog but could definitely use more training especially with going on walks and not running away. I want her to go to a great home and with someone who will know how to take care of her and love her like their kid. She has been around cats but she tends to think they all want to play so she chases them. She has never attacked one she just likes to chase them. She is really good with kids but doesn’t like when they pull grab on her too much but has never bit anyone. She has been around my other dog her whole life. She does get slight seizures sometimes when she is in stressful situations or when she can yell I am very stressed. The vet says they are just slight focal seizures. She is not on any medications or anything.

This animal will be held for the state-mandated stray hold before he is eligible for adoption. This animal was found on the 3200th block of Bel Clare Drive in the city of Waite Park. At-large fees must be paid to city hall, and a receipt must be shown at the shelter before he can be reclaimed. The impound fee of $125 plus tax paid to TCHS with proof of ownership will be due at time of reclaim. Owners reclaiming their dog must bring a collar and leash or purchase them from our Re-Tail Shoppe. Adoption holds will be accepted in the event this pet is not claimed by an owner by calling 320-252-0896.

Meet Amariah! A very sweet girl who absolutely loves spending time with her people! She has a playful personality and could spend hours chasing after her favorite thing – a ball! She also enjoys car rides and doesn't mind being bathed or brushed at home. Amariah has had positive experiences with children and other dogs. She knows some basic commands and has experience with wire crates, although she does have a tendency to chew on the bottom tray when crated. Amariah can be a little nervous around loud, sudden noises, so a little patience and reassurance can go a long way. Slow and proper introductions to new friends and environments are always recommended. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who is always ready for a game of fetch, Amariah would love to meet you! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
