Story
Meet Cameron! He has been described as smart, active and playful! He grew up in a Spanish speaking household so he understands some English and Spanish! Cameron has been shy and anxious while in the shelter. He will likely need some more socialization and will take some time to warm up in his new home. Cameron has been around young children and can be shy at first but warms up quickly with positive reinforcement. He can be quite excitable around young children and should be supervised. He has done well with small and large breed dogs. He has not been around cats. All introductions should be slow and proper when bringing home new animals. Ask staff for tips! He is housetrained and will wait by the door when he needs to go out. Cameron loves to play ball, run around and play in pools of water. Cameron is a high energy pup who will need an active family that can help him burn off his energy. He would also benefit from basic obedience classes to help him grow up to be the best pup! Come meet him today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Say hello to Equay. She came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility. The previous facility noted Equay has done well with other dogs, cats, and children! Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. She came to TCHS with heartworm; treatment has been started while in the shelter, but follow-up vet care will be needed after adoption. Exercise restriction for several weeks will be needed to help her recover from the illness. Equay is a very sweet girl who will put her whole body into pets! She loves a good booty scratch. She already knows "sit" and is very skilled at catching treats in her mouth. She can be a bit of a Houdini and has been known to sneak out. Equay would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. Story
Location: Hanover, MN Mateo is a big, lovable puppy with the heart of a lap dog and the energy of a true northern breed. He’s smart, affectionate, and always ready for adventure. He’s dog-friendly and very excited to meet new people. Mateo is crate trained, about 95% housebroken, and knows “sit.” He’s highly motivated by food and praise and is working on keeping all four paws on the floor when he gets excited. He’ll need a committed adopter who will continue his training with structure and positive reinforcement. Mateo has a high prey drive and cannot live with cats or small animals. He hasn’t been around kids yet and can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, so any children should be sturdy and supervised. With his high energy level, Mateo will thrive in an active home and would love activities like hiking, running, weight pulling, bikejoring, or skijoring. He wants to be wherever his people are — whether that’s on the couch, in the kitchen, or heading out on your next adventure. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will work hard, play hard, and love you endlessly, Mateo might be your guy. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Looking for a companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart? Meet Mount Everest! This playful, goofy, and affectionate guy is ready to climb straight into your life. Everest is a total toy enthusiast and is always up for a good game, whether that means chasing balls, playing tug, or entertaining himself with a good tail chase (you’ll definitely want to see the video !). He is very treat motivated and eager to engage, which makes training both fun and rewarding. He loves his walks and enjoys being active, especially when he can spend time outdoors exploring the world around him. Everest would do best in an active home that can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and playtime to keep both his body and mind happy. Everest does well in his kennel and is mostly potty trained, though he will continue to benefit from consistent training and a patient, dedicated family as he settles in. His silly antics and joyful energy are guaranteed to bring plenty of smiles and laughter. If you’re looking for an energetic, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and lots of fun, Mount Everest might just be the perfect match. He’s a loyal, happy pup who’s excited to become a cherished part of his forever home. Mount Everest is from a local shelter.
