Story
Jack is an affectionate, goofy senior who's been my shadow for nine years. I'd keep him forever, but I'm relocating for work somewhere that can't fairly meet his needs. I adopted him from the NM Animal Humane Society in 2017 at about age two.He had a hard start, so I want to be upfront about the home he needs: • Adult-only home — he can snap when frightened by strangers and has never been around kids. • Wary of unfamiliar people (especially larger men) and hand-shy, but he warms up wonderfully once introduced in his own home. Leashed walks are fine. • Guards his food; fed separately and left alone, he's never had an issue. • Good with cats and small dogs, not big dogs — best as the only dog or with a small, calm pet. A fenced yard suits him. With his family he's gentle, loyal, and silly; his fearfulness is only ever about strangers, never the people he loves. Housetrained, neutered, microchipped, shots current. Give him a calm, patient adult home and you'll have a devoted sidekick.

Story
We rescued Juno three years ago from being abandoned in an apartment complex! He is a great dog who is a fierce protector and loving companion. Juno does have separation anxiety and it has become a problem with a new baby in the house and jealousy. He would be best fit in a home without other dogs. Best fit for Juno would be someone who doesn’t have a super busy schedule as he needs lots of snuggles and attention! He is very gentle and good with small kids. Unknown on how he reacts with cats. I have a very heavy duty cage we use when away for him that I would provide!
