Story
Meet Nila, the sweetest Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix puppy with a heart of pure gold!
This fluffy, wag-tailed girl came into the world with a tough start—she and her sister were dumped along with their devoted mom at the San Diego Humane Society. Thankfully, the kind folks at ARRF (Animal Rescue Resource Foundation) stepped in to save this little family, pulling them into foster care where they're now thriving and ready for their forever homes. (ARRF is rehoming mom and each pup individually so they can each shine in their perfect match!)
Available January 21 after being spayed, they will be 8 – 9 weeks old at that time. Mom is 35-40 lbs, so they will probably be 40-45 lbs. fully grown. They have been checked by a vet, received their puppy shots, and are well socialized and healthy.
Although just a puppy, Nila is already a total lovebug: super friendly, incredibly social, and oh-so-cuddly. She loves nothing more than snuggling up for pets, belly rubs, and all the attention you can give. Her gentle, outgoing nature makes her a natural charmer—she's great with other dogs (she plays and gets along beautifully) and an absolute gem with kids of all ages, from toddlers to teens. She'll be your instant best friend and family companion.
Like most puppies, she's good with cats too (that classic puppy curiosity and friendliness!), though a resident cat might need a little time to adjust to her bouncy, enthusiastic energy. Housetraining is well underway—she's making great progress in her foster home and just needs a consistent routine and loving guidance to finish the job.
Could NiIa be the missing piece in your family? Apply through ARRF today and give this deserving sweetheart the forever home she dreams of!
