🐾💚 Meet Max, Maisie & Mindy – The Mini Goldendoodle Trio! 💚🐾
Three adorable faces, three sweet personalities, and one little medical hiccup that brought them straight to Ruff Draft!
Max, Maisie, and Mindy made their way into our rescue after a veterinarian discovered they each had an umbilical hernia, making them ineligible for sale through their original program.
But don’t let the word hernia scare you away from these sweet babies! ❤️
🩺 So, what exactly is an umbilical hernia?
An umbilical hernia is a small opening in the abdominal wall near a puppy’s belly button. It often appears as a soft little bump on their tummy.
Here’s what you should know:
* 🐾 Umbilical hernias are relatively common in puppies.
* 🐾 Small, uncomplicated hernias typically don’t cause pain or interfere with normal puppy activities.
* 🐾 Some small hernias close on their own as puppies grow.
* 🐾 Hernias that don’t resolve naturally can often be repaired during routine spay or neuter surgery, avoiding a separate procedure.
* 🐾 Once successfully repaired, most puppies go on to live completely normal, happy lives!
If these three still have their hernias when it’s time for their spay and neuter surgeries, the hernias will be corrected at that time, provided their veterinarian determines routine repair is appropriate.
Of course, their hernias will continue to be monitored to ensure they aren’t causing complications.
🐶 Now, let’s talk about that “Mini” part!
These three are believed to be Mini Goldendoodles, but here’s something important to understand: Mini isn’t a guarantee of a specific adult weight!
Depending on genetics, Mini Goldendoodles can fall anywhere around 15–35 pounds, sometimes even outside that range. Without knowing exactly how large their parents are, we cannot guarantee their adult size.
💚 Proud Members of Our Sponsor Pup Program!
Max, Maisie, and Mindy are also part of Ruff Draft’s Sponsor Pup Program!
Their higher adoption fees do more than help these three find loving homes. They help provide much-needed funding for medical care, daily operations, and our long-term residents who may need a little extra help finding their forever families.
Most importantly, this program helps us continue offering FREE adoptions to our veterans as a small thank-you for their service! 🇺🇸
When you adopt a Sponsor Pup, you’re not just changing one dog’s life. You’re helping us change the lives of so many others!
💚 Max, Maisie, and Mindy aren’t defective puppies. They’re simply three little dogs who needed a different path to finding their forever families.
And we’re pretty happy that path led them to Ruff Draft!
🏈 Dogs First. Always.
