Story
Hey there! I`m Flint, and as the holiday season approaches, I`m dreaming of finding my forever family to share cozy winter moments with. I might seem a bit shy at first, but I promise I`m a gentle soul who loves soft pets and quiet cuddles. My tail might not wag wildly, but when I start to feel comfortable, you`ll see my sweet personality shine through. This holiday season, I`m hoping to find a patient and loving home where I can be your loyal companion. I may have had a rough start as a stray, but I`m ready to create warm memories with someone who understands that sometimes the quietest hearts have the most love to give. I`m looking for a calm household where I can lean into pets, enjoy peaceful moments, and become your faithful friend through all of life`s seasons.I am full grown at ~42lbs. How did I get here? Transferred from Wake County Animal Center where I came in as a stray. ~My adoption fee is waived thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization.~

Story
We brought Mocha home three years ago from a farm in Iowa. While the other puppies hid, he came straight to us. He’s playful, loving, and always wants to be near his people. He enjoys being outside, going for walks, and getting lots of cuddles. He isn’t afraid of much—just the blow dryer at grooming. He grazes throughout the day, and he’ll follow you like a shadow. If my son and I are talking or laughing, he runs over to be part of it. Rehoming him is a very hard decision, but our schedules have changed, and we’re moving to a smaller home with no yard. He’s been having more accidents, and as a first-time dog owner, I’m unsure how to retrain him without outdoor space. He also seems lonely; when we’ve watched my sister’s dog, he lights up and loves the companionship. Mocha is smart and will learn quickly with the right support. Our only request is that if his new family can’t keep him in the future, they contact us first—we will always take him back.
