Story
Are you searching for a dog that will be your running partner? Someone who will motivate you to get up early and go on challenging adventures? Maybe a pup that will excel at agility or dock diving? If so, I am NOT your girl. Move on to the next available pup in the queue. My name is Julie. I am a 9 year old voluptuous princess. I am looking for a companion to spoil me rotten like the royalty I am. I was surrendered to a shelter with another well cared for dog along with some of our vet records. My foster mom speculates that perhaps something sad happened and our owner could not care for us anymore. She says there's no way someone could love me my whole life and take good care of me and then just chose to let me go. My 76 pounds is a bit much even for my large bones, so I was started on a diet. My foster pawrents think I was fed mainly table food. All I know is this supposedly nutritious healthy kibble does not taste like what I'm used to, but I am adjusting. They say my hips will feel better with less chunk and more activity. In the meantime, the nice vet lady gave me some medicine to take care of any aches. I am spayed and up to date on all of my vaccines and preventatives. I am negative for heartworm and any tick-born diseases. My dream retirement home has at least one person with hands. I am a content gal and appreciative of any and all affection. I enjoy options when it come to napping; a soft comfy bed followed by cool floors. My leash walking is slow and easy. A couple of short trips a day around to visit the neighbors would be wonderful and help us both work on our figures. I don't mind having another calm dog in the home, but I'm also ok with being your one and only. I have your typical golden retriever happy-go-lucky personality. My luscious thick soft coat will require regular grooming, but I am a willing participant. I prefer to be with my people, but have been alone for brief periods and done fine. I don't love being crated and since I'm a well behaved housebroken adult, I don't need it. A house with only a few stairs would be best for me. Do you long for the grateful thump of a heavy tail on the floor when you walk in the room? Would you like to see my beaming smile full of love when you come back from the long trip to the mailbox? Can I follow you around while you work on the garden? I really don't even need a fenced yard. If so, I sure would like to meet you! Send an email and let's fall in love. Story
Hi there, I'm Daria - your golden-hued canine companion, and I'm on a mission to spread sweetness and a dash of spice wherever I go! Picture this: I'm an adult dog who's got the sweetness game down to an art. Lounging is my specialty, and I take great pride in lavishing belly rubs and kisses upon my favorite people. When it comes to lazing around, consider me the expert. My sunny disposition lights up any room, and I've got a soft spot for curling up beside you for some quality relaxation time. I'm the embodiment of sugar, and my love for people knows no bounds. Now, let's talk about the spice - I do have doggo friends and I love to play hard. Go hard or go home I think you two legged people say and that works when it comes to my romping time. Oh, did I mention I'm potty and crate trained? Yep, I've got those skills down too. Your home will be my haven, and I'll make sure to keep everything neat and tidy. So, if you're looking for a furry friend who brings a perfect blend of sweetness, lazy lounging, and a touch of spice to your life, look no further. I'm Daria, and I'm ready to add some flavor to our adventure together! *Feedback from a weekend host includes: "She rode great in the car. Didn't make a peep". "She is a very affectionate little girl". Recent host commented: "She sure is a couch potato, as soon as we got to the house she made herself @ home on the sofa & chilled. She felt at ease so I knew we hit it off right away." "She's a super sweet girl very well behaved and would be a wonderful addition to any home. "

Story
Rambo is a people dog. He is a 7 year old, 85 lbs teddy bear who loves cuddles. He shows so much love. He wants nothing more than to be at your feet every second of the day. Rambo is house trained, follows commands, and does well in the car. His second favorite thing to do (other than snuggle) is play fetch. He loves a good ball or stick! Unfortunately, he does not do well with other dogs so would prefer to live with people only. He currently lives with another dog who he absolutely adores, but about four years ago, Rambo was attacked by an off leash dog. Rambo has since bit two dogs. He is muzzle trained so can be around dogs while wearing a muzzle. He is completely fine with the dog he lives with- no muzzle needed. He just does not do well with new dogs since being attacked. Rambo is truly the most loving dog I have ever met towards humans. He deserves a loving home that can provide lots of treats and snuggles.

Story
Sally is a gentle healthy spirited young lady, who we call "Tater" after the Yellowstone character. She loves exploring, loves the water, and is very independent once she becomes familar with her surroundings. Dad is a red Canadian golden, mom is a cream American golden, both fit healthy dogs. Sally's goofy and playful, we walk, try to run, play fetch, and she had her first round of shots and good internal exams. A truly joyful puppy, part of my Golden-Life... but I can't keep her. What I'm seeking is someone, ideally a family, with pets, who is seeking a companion. Sally wants to bond to someone/something so bad, she's being friendly with our barn cats:-) ...and once she does, you will have a loving, understanding friend, for the rest of her life. Lets schedule a playdate!

Story
Meet Palmer, a delightful 2-year-old shelter dog whose joy is infectious. As you approach him, his tail wags with excitement, and his eyes light up with happiness. Palmer greets you with gentle enthusiasm, refraining from jumping and instead expressing his affection in a calm manner. On a leash, he walks with grace, enjoying the outdoor surroundings as he explores and sniffs with curiosity. Palmer's mellow and calm temperament shines through, making him an ideal companion. He has mastered the art of sitting and delights in catching treats, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. Recently tested with other dogs, Palmer would likely do better with a female. His go-to move was humping, so an older dog may not be tolerant of his playstyle. Palmer is not just a dog; he's a loving and well-behaved friend ready to bring joy and companionship into your life.He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats or dogs in the home, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. ". Story
Hello! My name is Hillary aka CoCo! I am a super sweet Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I am about 3 years old and weigh approximately 62 pounds. I have a lot of energy! I love going for walks but sometimes I get distracted by squirrels, birds and humans. Sometimes I pull and need to be corrected. I LOVE going to the park. I run and run and run. I have made many friends-mainly my foster sister, Bosco. We play and play and play until my foster mom has had enough. I have a boyfriend in the neighborhood and his name is Moses. He too is a golden/Chesapeake combo. We see each other and give kisses. I also have 2 other boyfriends that Moses does not know about-Yogie, who is a Rhodesian ridgeback, and Leo, who is a German shepherd. We are always having play dates!! Oh… I forgot Knuckles-the neighbors bulldog. Knuckles was kind of in my face. But I dog-checked him and we are good. So bossy that one! My foster mom has said I have made a TON of advances. When I was placed with her, I would not eat dog food or eat snacks. I now LOVE dog food; and eat tons of snacks. I LOVE bananas, sweet potato, green beans-and of course dried beef liver and dried chicken. I was super skinny-but I have gained weight!! I was also not house trained. I now go outside and do my business. I feel bad because I was so confused before. But my foster mom has been great and I love her with all my heart!!! At some point, I think I was water deprived, so I am a water gorger. Mostly I just eat ice now. I love it and its my go-to. But sometimes I will gorge at the park, and then forget and make a mess in my house. I have to remember that eating ice means going potty outside. And drinking water also means going outside. One time, my foster mom took me to the drive through at Bojangles. I hated it!! I barked at the lady taking my order and then I would not eat a Bo-round. My foster mom was shoving that thing in my face the whole 2 blocks home. First, she shouldn’t be going to fast food, and second, not everyone likes fast food. She tried that same crap when we went through the drive through to get “the Lord’s chicken.” I’m just not a fan of waffle fries. I am not kennel trained. But there is really no need for me to be. I have only chewed on approved dog toys and when I nap-I am either on the couch or on the dog bed. My foster mom got a camera to keep a watch on us when she is away. She was bummed when she found out that me and Bosco mainly just sleep on the couch. I haven’t done anything bad, not compared to Bosco. She’s the one that needs training. One thing I taught Bosco was to look out the window. I love the window and love watching what is happening outside. And Bosco taught me to fetch!!! I’m kind of still new at it, but love a good ball launch!! When we went to the park the other day, I played with the neighbor kids. I just love them!! I am always down for snuggles. And I snuggle hard. I love having my ears petted and generally having quiet time. I just want to be loved!!!
