Story
Meet Coraline! Coraline is a 6-year-old, 80-pound golden retriever who is ready to trade her past as a puppy mill mama for the good life. She’s still figuring out what it means to be a dog, but she’s already come a long way in the short time she’s been in foster care. Coraline is discovering all sorts of things she’s been missing out on, from yummy treats to toys she's just learning how to play with. She loves head pets and chin scratches, and when she gets excited, she does the cutest little tippy tappies. She likes being near her people, and every day she seems to settle in a little closer. She really enjoys spending time relaxing in the yard with the sun on her face. She’s making strides with potty training, and crate training is still a work in progress. She’s not a fan of being in her crate when nobody is around, but she’ll choose to relax in there when her people are nearby. She also walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys short walks where she can take her time sniffing around. Coraline would do best in a quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace. Another confident dog could be a great companion to help show her the ropes. This girl has spent enough time missing out on the good stuff. Now she deserves a home that will give her the time, patience, and love she needs to keep blossoming. Coraline is currently fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. ### Meet Jackie! 🤍🐾 If you’ve ever dreamed of having a gentle giant by your side, let us introduce you to Jackie! Jackie is a gorgeous 3-year-old Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix weighing in at **88 pounds of pure sweetness**. While she has some Golden in her, Jackie definitely takes after her Great Pyrenees side—she’s calm, confident, independent, and has that classic Pyr personality. Jackie absolutely **loves people** and is wonderful when meeting new friends. She has a gentle, easygoing nature and would happily spend her days hanging out with her humans and soaking up all the attention. She also has a fun side and enjoys the water, so a little splash time is always a bonus! Now, Jackie does have one thing she’d like to make very clear: **she’s the boss.** 😂 She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting the other dogs know it. Because of that, she would do best with another dog who has a more submissive, easygoing personality and isn't looking to challenge her for the executive position. Jackie is the kind of dog who makes an impression—not just because she’s a big, beautiful 88-pound girl, but because she has such a sweet and gentle soul. She loves her people, welcomes new friends, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a big-hearted best friend. If you’re looking for a **gentle giant with a little “I’m in charge here” attitude**, Jackie may be your girl! 🤍🐾
