PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our adoption application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Well, hello there. I'm Bark Twain. Yes, the name is a literary masterpiece. And unlike my namesake, I prefer chewing toys over writing novels. I'm a 6-month-old pup weighing in at about 40 pounds, and I've got plenty more growing (and goofiness) left to do. If you're looking for a tiny purse pup, I accidentally wandered into the wrong story. But if you've been searching for a loyal adventure buddy with a big personality, you've reached the right chapter. I'm a happy-go-lucky guy who thinks every day should include something fun. Hiking? Count me in. Playing fetch? Absolutely. Splashing in the water? Now you're speaking my language! I love other dogs, adore people, and I'm always convinced the next person I meet is going to be my new best friend. Like any good puppy, I'm still polishing up my manners. I'm smart, eager to learn, and food is a pretty convincing teacher. With a little guidance and consistency, I'll grow into an incredible companion who's as loyal as he is lovable. My perfect family will appreciate my playful spirit, my growing size, and my enthusiasm for life. In return, I'll provide endless laughs, unconditional love, and enough tail wags to keep everyone smiling. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." So let's get started on our happily ever after. Love, Bark Twain 🐾📖

Looking for a dog to add to your family? Meet Denver! ❤️🐾🐶 We've been fostering him for 2 weeks and he is the sweetest and most gentle boy. He is around 8 years old. While he doesn't have that crazy puppy energy anymore, he still loves to gallop in the grass, carrying his toys or sticks around and he zooms around like a champ. My favorite thing about him is how he carries around a toy in his mouth all over the house and his yard.🧸 The shelter found him in an abandoned car. He is very loving, calm, and gentle with people. He knows sit, paw, laydown, and a partial roll over. He is potty and crate trained. He has not yet been around other dogs or kids since we've had him. Please reach out to me if you or anyone you know is interested in meeting him! Text Christina at 513-739-1363 Video at https://www.facebook.com/share/r/18ZDBQnPFj/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Story
Meet Charlotte! 🩷 Charlotte is a 7-year-old, 35lb Mini Goldendoodle with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. After spending her life in a puppy mill, she’s finally getting the chance to discover what it means to be a beloved family member. Charlotte is understandably shy when meeting new people and experiencing new things, but beneath her timid exterior is an incredibly sweet girl who wants to trust and be loved. She absolutely enjoys the company of other dogs and looks to them for confidence and guidance. While she hasn’t quite figured out how to play yet, she’s watching and learning every day. This special girl is beginning to explore all the simple joys of being a dog. She’s already mastered jumping up on the couch and is discovering that soft blankets, comfy spots, and loving humans are pretty wonderful. Charlotte still has many “dog things” left to learn, and her future family will have the privilege of helping her experience them for the first time. Charlotte is crate trained and does well with her house training when taken outside on a regular schedule. Because she can be nervous and may startle easily, she requires a physically fenced yard where she can safely explore and build confidence. Charlotte is looking for a patient, understanding home that will celebrate every small victory and allow her to blossom at her own pace. Watching her discover the world is incredibly rewarding, and with love, time, and kindness, this sweet girl is sure to continue coming out of her shell. Could Charlotte be the one you’ve been waiting to help write her happy ending? 🐾💕 Charlotte is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Gentle ZIGGY is a beautiful, shy girl looking for a home. She's around 5 years old and 34 pounds. We do know a bit of her history, her mama was a pure-bred golden retriever, so her daddy must have been a smaller dog to account for her size. You can see the golden undertones in her gorgeous medium-length coat. Ziggy spent her life living on a farm and as a result she's shy in new surroundings and when meeting new people. She was surrendered to a rural shelter and we pulled her because we knew she would crumble in that environment. She has a lovely disposition and so wants to trust and be loved. She needs a home with a patient adopter willing to take some time to earn her trust. Ziggy seeks out the companionship of other dogs and needs a home with another friendly dog who can help her navigate life. She's housebroken and fine with cats. She needs a home with a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Ziggy and you're willing to take the time to earn her trust, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Ziggy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE IN TX. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY NOT IN YOUR STATE BUT WILL BE TRANSPORTED ONCE ADOPTED VIA VAN. OUR APP CAN BE FOUND AT haydudeequine.org Hi! I'm Goldilocks... and yes, my name fits me perfectly. 💛 I'm a 4-month-old Aussie/Golden Retriever mix (at least that's our best guess!), and I'm about 25 pounds of pure sweetness. With my soft golden coat, sparkling blue eyes, and permanently happy attitude, I've been told I'm pretty hard to resist. My story started a little differently than most. My brother and I were abandoned and somehow found ourselves hanging around a construction business. Thankfully, some kind people made sure we were safe, and now I'm ready to trade construction sites for a forever home. I'm the definition of a social butterfly. I LOVE people, adore other dogs, and I'm always excited to make new friends. Whether we're playing in the yard, going for adventures, or snuggling on the couch after a busy day, I'm happiest just being with my people. At around 25 pounds now, I'll likely grow into the perfect medium-to-large-sized companion. Since I'm still a puppy, I'm excited to learn all the fun things—like basic manners, leash walking, and all the tricks that earn me treats and belly rubs. I promise to bring lots of laughs, unconditional love, and a little puppy mischief along the way. If you've been looking for a best friend with a heart as golden as her fur, I think we should meet. I can't wait to start my happily ever after with you. Love, Goldilocks 🐾💛

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Nataliyah. Nataliyah is a beautiful 5-month-old, 45-pound female Goberian (Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky) puppy. Nataliyah came in from a puppy mill two weeks ago shy and scared. In just a couple of weeks, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate pup who no longer seems to be fearful. She enjoys playing with toys, exploring the yard, playing with her foster siblings, and following her foster mom everywhere. Nataliyah has a black, gray and white coat with beautiful markings on her face. She is eager to please and follows directives well, (as long as she can control her excitement). She is 45 pounds now, but will be a large dog once full grown. She is fostered with a one-year-old mama dog and her three puppies, who she loves playing with. She is medium-to-high energy now and will probably remain the same into adulthood. Despite her breed, Nataliyah has rarely barked while in foster care. She occasionally whines. She is making great strides with her potty training for only two weeks in a home. She is an excellent car rider. Nataliyah is pretty good on a leash for it being her first experience with it. She zig-zags a lot, but ultimately still moves forward. Like all puppies, Nataliyah will need to be taught boundaries. For these types of breeds, it is also crucial that they get exercise daily beyond just playing in the back yard, (such as long walks, runs, hiking or dog parks). She would do best with a fenced-in yard. Nataliyah is a very sweet and affectionate puppy with lots of love to give, (not to mention she’s gorgeous). After starting her short little life confined in a puppy mill, she is just looking for the “good life” as a cherished family pet. If you believe that you have the right home to give Nataliyah the love and commitment she deserves, please apply today. She would be a wonderful addition to your family. Nataliyah is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Meet Lugnut, the dog with a penchant for adventure and a heart full of love! This guy has taken “wandering off” to a whole new level. He loves to explore, so much so that he decided to transform himself into the neighborhood’s unofficial shelter visitor. After several unsanctioned field trips, his owner realized Lugnut might just need a new plan (and a GPS!). Now at the shelter, Lugnut is ready for his next great quest: finding his forever home! He’s the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet, just a big ol’ goofball who wants nothing more than to hear, “Good boy!” over and over—basically, he’s looking for a cheerleader, and we all know how hard it is to have too many of those!Lugnut would fit perfectly into any family looking to add a dose of joy (and occasional chaos). If you’re ready to shower him with love and maybe even some silly nicknames like “Lugnut the Magnificent,” you’re in for a tail-wagging good time. Come meet this lovable adventurer; his next great journey starts with you!
