Story
Hi, I’m Johnny! I’m a 2-year-old, 36-pound Husky/American Eskimo mix with the cutest big ears, a handsome smile and a heart full of love to give. I’m currently being fostered in Albion, Michigan and my foster family is getting to see just what a sweetheart I really am. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once I realize you’re a friend, my affectionate personality starts to shine through. I absolutely love being around people and nothing makes me happier than curling up right next to you for some snuggles. I could soak up pets and attention all day long! I get along with other dogs, I’m good with kids and I don’t even mind cats. I’m a gentle, loving boy who just wants to feel safe, be included and have someone to call my own. Give me a little time to warm up and you’ll have one very devoted companion who will happily keep you company wherever you are. I’m fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. I’m ready to find a family who will love me as much as I’m going to love them. If you have a cozy spot next to you on the couch and plenty of affection to share, I think we could be a perfect match! If interested, please DO NOT submit an inquiry through Adopt a Pet. Story
I got Bella six years ago when I got injured during soccer and she has been with me ever since. I moved to college four years ago and she stayed with my parents for three years and last year I brought her to move in with me. Unfortunately, I don’t spend much time with her cause I’m busy with school and work. I’m never really home and I just feel like she deserves a better place to be able to spend the rest of her years to be a happy dog. It pains me to have to do this, but I don’t really have another choice. I dislike the fact that she spends all of her days in a cage and just waiting for me to come home, but I’m too tired to take her on a run like I was able to before. I hope that I can find her a good loving, family or home.

Story
UPDATE!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Millie! This sweet girl was surrendered to us from a not so good situation. She’s an adorable shepherd/lab mix. She’s 3-4 months and right at 15 lbs. She’s sweet and outgoing.  She’s settling into foster care and doing amazing. She loves other pups and her people. She is utd, spayed and ready for her forever home!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
