Story
Sasha is a five year old female Siberian Husky. She is a rescue from a shelter where she was on the euthanize list (only hours from death). From what we were told she was an owner surrender, and her previous owner did not do much if any training with her. She is partially house broken and knows sit. She is very food motivated and will absolutely not share with other dogs, nor will she share her toys or lap time. She loves attention from humans though and she likes kids (untested with cats) but doesn't do well with other dogs. She would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, maybe with someone to play with her. She is very vocal, like most Huskies are, and gets the zoomies which is typical of her breed. She doesn't have any health problems that we know of but would do best with an owner who has experience with the breed and can give her the time and attention she needs.

Story
UPDATE!! Meet Winston. He’s one of our sweet little Husky Babies are being we saved from the shelter last week. They are 8-10 weeks old. Mom appeared to be pure husky but we do not know what dad is. They have settled into foster care and are doing amazing. They will be ready in 2 weeks after 2 rounds of vaccines and they are altered! We are taking apps and reserving them to the perfect forever homes! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
