Story
Simba and his siter Nala are your classic Huskies in all the best ways - they loves to chase (yes, cats and chickens beware!), explore the great outdoors, and soak up cool weather like it’s their job. But unlike some Huskies, Nala and Simba also have a chill side firmly in place. They are house-trained, affectionate, and a total pro at lounging on anything soft and fuzzy — especially if it means being close to their humans. At 8 years old, Nala and Simba still have plenty of playful energy and would thrive in a home that gives them opportunities for both fun and relaxation. They are happiest in air conditioning (can you blame them?) and are always down for a lazy afternoon full of pets and love. Nala and Simba would do best in a home without cats or small animals due to their prey drive. They have lived in a home with children their whole lives and do well with them. If you’re looking for TWO loving, quirky, and fun best friends with a little extra fluff and a lot of heart - Here's your chance. 💙 To learn more about Nala/Simba or schedule a time to meet them, contact Jaime at 706-969-4682. Disclaimer: All pets posted and adopted through Neighborhood Pets are not members of Paws Humane Society. Paws Humane Society is not liable for any animals' well-being or placement. Please practice safe adoption.

Story
Journey is a 4-year-old female Husky mix who has already been spayed.  She was found as a stray at Journey Church--hence the name--Journey.  Her owner never came looking for her. Journey has a black coat with tan markings; and she has one blue eye and one brown eye!  Her tail curls stylishly over her back!  She weighs 49 pounds; so she is a large dog.  She is energetic and active; and we recommend she be in a home with older children.  This playful dog is an attention hog and loves all the kindness being shown to her by staff and volunteers.  Journey is good with most dogs; but, if you have another dog we would suggest you bring your dog out for a meet and greet with her.  Journey is a trip--in a good way!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  October 31, 2025, 7:32 am
