Story
Sweetest dog ever. He has some issues with small animals like bunny’s and small cats but he does great with adult cats and dogs. He is very quiet for a husky but does have energy although he loves to cuddle and take naps. He is on a diet of puppy food because of his owners before me but he’s doing a lot better and gaining some weight. He has a past of abuse so he’s afraid of men but has never been aggressive in any way and will usually warm up to them. He’s not well trained but he is potty trained and does well with that. He’s young and can still be trained. He has a very kind beautiful playful soul and deserves the best life, sadly I can’t provide that right now. Whoever gets this sweet boy is going to be very blessed.

Story
I got Freddy from Under Dogs in Moab. He was 6 months old at that time, in May of 2024. As of June 2026, that makes him about 2.5yrs old.His “real” name is Alfredo but he responds to Fred and Freddy best.He has tons of energy and loves to go for walks, play, and talks like a husky all the time. He gets several walks every week and plays hard with my families other dogs, but is rarely exhausted.Note: he’s never had a DNA test to know exact breed. In general he is a good listener and does not chew up things he’s not supposed to. He sticks around too - even with doors and such open he isn’t a bolter.I am considering rehoming Freddy with a family who has the time & environment to best take care of him. It seems like he'd be best off as the only animal in a house. In his current environment, w/ 1-2 other dogs, he has gotten into a few bad fights unprompted with dogs which love to play with him.He needs somebody who is able to work through behavioral challenges. He is very smart no doubt.

Story
Lorenzo is a middle aged husky who has ice blue eyes and is ready to be your BFF. He LOVES humans including kids. He enjoys getting affection from his humans and pets all over. He is an active dog who enjoys walks, runs, and playing with other dogs his size. He would love to go on adventures with his new family! He also enjoys napping with his humans after some playtime. He has high prey drive, as many huskies do, so his ideal family would not have any cats or other small animals. Lorenzo is such a fun, floofy dog - we love him and we know you will too! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.

Story
Shaila is an amazing dog, who learns quickly. She is 2.5 years old, and we got her from some people who had chickens and ducks. She was eating them and we didn’t have any, so we’ve adopted her at 6 months. She was slightly aggressive due to fear, but we trained her and now she’s very gentle and listens well. She’s crate trained, e-collar trained, and she knows all the basic commands. She is good with kids and other dogs, but I think she would work best with a single person or a couple who can give her all the attention, running and play she needs without distractions of other dogs or kids. She has been not getting along with one of our other dogs and I don’t want our kids getting caught up in a dog fight. I’m giving her up because I’m pregnant with our third child. I don’t have the time nor the energy to give her all of those things she needs, and she deserves the best and someone who loves her enough to give her that full attention and time.
