Story
Hi! I'm Link! Just an all around happy dude. I can be quite independent- true to my husky breed, but have you seen me? I got the blonde hair blue eyes thing going for me. I walk pretty well on a leash, even when I'm excited to see all my neighbors at the shelter. I can't wait to find an active family who is going to bring me on lots of adventures! If you're looking for two, my sister was relinquished with me! :) She will be a GRHS dog on 3/29! I do well with other dogs, but would probably have too much fun chasing cats. Hiking? Skijoring, bikejoring?! LETS GO! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.

Story
We might not be in Alaska, but Kenai (keen-eye) is ready to bring the state to you in a flurry of snow white fur. With his iconic brown eye patch and cute little teeth, Kenai is going to make the perfect addition to someone's home. He is working on taking treats gently, but he is a very smart dog! He already knows how to sit and he seems to know "heel" already. Kenai would love to be someone's adventure buddy who is looking for an active partner to explore with them! From his Foster Family: Kenai is an extremely smart, loving and adventurous boy. He can be very worried about new people and needs a calm, quiet home. He is a bit shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is an extremely affectionate companion. He was most likely not treated well by his original owner but loves his current foster family. He loves playing with other dogs as long as they have been fixed, he does not do well with intact males. Kenai is great on or off leash, extremely quiet, house broken and is very food/treat motivated. Kenai would do well with a companion, another friendly dog to help use up that working dog energy. We have learned that this sweet guy is not a fan of kiddos. He would like to be in a home with no kids or older kids (teenagers) Please note: This also includes any future plans for having a family as well as frequent tiny human visitors to the home or outside of the home. NO EXCEPTIONS! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.

Story
Chloe is a beautiful 10 year old. Shes energetic, spunky, loving, and overall a good girl. She does great around our 2 young children, and has always done well around other dogs her size or larger. She has not been around small dogs or cats before so i am unsure of how she would act around them. Chloe has been trained to use her kennel as her safe space so she will go there when she doesnt want to be bothered. She has also been trained to not bark or howl so shes not going to disturb the neighborhood. She needs a home with lots of love to give and a yard to explore. Chloe was born in nothern californa and lived there most of her life. She also has lived a couple years in Alaska and a couple years in Coloraro. She has moved across state lines alot so she is quite adaptable.
