Sparkles is a 2-year-old Kelpie/Husky mix who is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and very loving once she warms up to you. She can be a little timid at first, but she’s sweet-natured and forms strong bonds with her people. She is house trained, knows how to sit, walks on a leash, and is very trainable. She does well with children and other dogs. However, Sparkles has a high prey drive and cannot be in a home with cats, chickens, or other small livestock. She would do best in a home without farm animals. She also loves to explore and will wander if she doesn’t have a secure fenced yard. Sparkles is not spayed and is not vaccinated at this time. This decision has not been made lightly. I’m rehoming her because she is not a good fit for our current situation, and I want her to have the opportunity to thrive in an environment that meets her needs. There is no rehoming fee.

I am an 8 year old large Husky mix (M/N) with big blue eyes and a loving personality. I was found as a stray in Texas and was later brought to Routt Co Humane in Steamboat Springs. I then got transferred to C.A.R.E due to a wildfire near my previous shelter. I get along great with other dogs and love to have my long grey and white hair brushed. I can't wait to find a family and home that suits me.

Boomer is 6 years old and a lover. He does not get along with our elderly dog though and am scared he will end up hurting her. Currently he has been chained up due to dog fight with our elderly dog and breaking our fence to get to the neighbors chickens. Does better with female dogs than male. Good with kids but would do best in an only dog home with an active person. He is a lover but gets nervous sometimes. Really hoping the right person comes along.

Story
Koda is a 4 year old Husky mix that was initially rescued as a puppy. Koda requires a loving home and owner that is able to give her the time and exercise she needs. Overall Koda is a very loving and sweet girl. She does not do well with cats. She has been having behavioral issue with another dog in the house but does well with other dogs. Koda does needs lots of room to play and run around as she has lot of energy.
