Story
Meet Togo Named after the legendary sled dog from the Disney movie, Togo is a 5-year-old neutered male Husky full of personality and love. Personality & Temperament: Togo is incredibly friendly with all people, including children. He's known for his gentle hugs and classic Husky vocalizations. He loves car rides, dog parks, hiking, and long walks—making him a perfect companion for an active person or family. His favorite thing in the world? Stuffed toys. He’ll play with them during the day and cuddle them at night. Home Needs: Togo is both crate-trained and potty-trained. He thrives on a routine and is typically let out every 3 hours. He must be crated when left alone, as he's a bit of an escape artist—so a secure, tall fence or a leash at all times is a must. Behavior with Other Dogs: Togo exhibits resource guarding—he protects his food, toys, treats, and even water. Because of this, we do not recommend a home with other dogs unless you're experienced in managing and separating animals during high-value moments. Medical Info: Togo occasionally has a strange cough. When it flares up, a vet-prescribed steroid helps manage it. The current bottle will be provided, and his medical records can be transferred to his new vet. He doesn't need the medication often, and the bottle lasts quite a while. Togo is looking for a committed, loving home that understands the needs of an intelligent, energetic Husky with quirks.

Story
Some dogs arrive in rescue with a story that reminds us how many people it takes to save just one life. Wendy was found wandering the streets of Southern California, repeatedly returning to the same jobsite where a kind person noticed her and refused to give up. After patiently earning her trust, they safely caught her, got her veterinary care, and personally drove her from California to Texas. From there, dedicated volunteers transported her from Texas to Florida so she could begin her next chapter with Swampland Husky Rescue. Now Wendy is looking for a forever home of her own. Wendy is a beautiful Husky girl with a gentle, sensitive soul. She can be shy when meeting new people and is especially fearful of men. She isn't aggressive—she simply needs time, patience, and understanding to learn that she's safe. Once Wendy begins to trust you, her sweet personality starts to shine. She enjoys toys, playtime, and spending time with other dogs. She forms connections slowly, but those connections are meaningful and genuine. Despite her shy nature, Wendy has already shown us that she's a wonderful companion. She rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and did great for her groomer. She is crate trained and house trained, though she does best when given regular potty breaks and a consistent routine. Wendy would thrive in a calm, patient home that allows her to settle in at her own pace. A confident canine companion could be a wonderful role model for her as she continues building confidence. Wendy's Highlights 🐾 Spayed 🐾 Fully vaccinated 🐾 Dog friendly 🐾 Walks well on leash 🐾 Rides well in the car 🐾 Takes treats gently 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 House trained with regular potty breaks 🐾 Loves toys and playtime 🐾 Fearful of men; needs patient introductions 🐾 Continues to gain confidence every day Wendy's Requirements 🚫 No cats 🏡 Patient, understanding adopters 💛 Slow introductions and positive reinforcement ⏳ Time to decompress and build trust Wendy isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for someone willing to meet her where she is and help her become the confident dog she's meant to be. The family who gives Wendy that chance will gain something truly special: the trust and loyalty of a dog who has learned what it means to be loved.

Story
Jenna is a stunning red Husky with a gentle and submissive personality. She came to us after being abandoned with a family member in Ocala and later surrendered. Despite the changes in her life, Jenna has remained incredibly sweet and easygoing. She has lived successfully with both small and large dogs and does well in a multi-dog environment. Jenna is not dominant and tends to take a more laid-back role around other dogs. Jenna is neutral around children—she is not reactive or aggressive, but she is not particularly interested in interacting with them. Important Behavior Notes Jenna will need a cat-free home. She recently had an incident involving a cat, so for everyone’s safety, she cannot be placed in a home with cats or small animals. Ideal Home No cats or small animals Another calm, well-balanced dog would be a great fit A home that can provide structure, stability, and time to decompress Personality Sweet Submissive Easygoing Dog-friendly Jenna is a good dog who has experienced a lot of change and is ready for a stable, loving home where she can feel safe and thrive.

Story
UPDATE:  465 DAYS AT OUR KENNEL looking for a home.  Sweet Max.one year old black lab mix. Max seems to have been incredibly unsocialized, we think possibly locked in a crate in a room alone for quite a while.  He acts like an 8 week old puppy with no boundaries but he's in a big boy body.  He needs a lot of work. Housebroken. Loves bath time and water. Loves toys. Playful and energetic, as any lab puppy should be. He's great with other dogs. Unknown with cats and other animals as he has never been around them. He needs a big yard and grass and sunshine. He is a good boy.  ##1039448##
