Story
***Wolfie is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. He is available for adoption in both Georgia and New Jersey. With an approved application or foster home, he can be transported to New Jersey area and attend an upcoming adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Wolfie and/or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number for information.*** For about three years, Wolfie had been a stray dog that regularly hung out at a women's rehab facility. While he had become somewhat of a fixture at the center, the governing board of the rehab eventually said he had to go. That's when a very kindhearted lady, who had been familiar with Wolfie, contacted SoCo Rescue to see if we could help him. Wolfie has proven to be very people friendly and has gotten along great with other dogs. He walks very well on leash, has displayed some house training experience and rides very well in a car. He also loves spending time outside, so a home that permits plenty of outdoor time would be best. Wolfie will not be good around cats Since coming to our rescue, Wolfie has been kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and preventative care. While he originally tested positive for heartworms, he now has tested negative for them. He may need a refresher course on his house training once in a new home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2026, 5:51 pm

Story
BARC introduces ELLA to rescue! Ella’s owner was upset with her because she was in heat and attracting male dogs and havoc so he told his wife and child he was going to shot her. Ella loved the little boy and did not understand. Thankfully, we were able to intervene and save Ella. She loves people and wants nothing more than to have her own family. She isn’t as fond of other dogs though. She does well with non dominant males. This affectionate shepherd/husky needs a new family. She is house and leash trained and great with children. She is completely vetted and ready for her forever home. You can apply for Ella online at brantleyanimalrescuecoalition.com

Linus is your typical puppy that loves to play and snuggle with other dogs and people. He would be a great companion dog for pretty much any home as long as he was played with and cuddled until his little heart is content.

Story
Marcie is a beautiful girl with a great personality. She hangs out with her siblings and other dogs all day playing until they drop and their foster family has to usher them inside for the night. She is at a great age that's perfect to start training with commands and to introduce her to new animals so she grows up with them.

Story
Chucky has had a really rough start to life and needs a home that will love and spoil him. He came in with his siblings, and sadly one passed. They all had horrible skin infections, worms, fleas, and were in just awful condition. Over the last few months he has been getting a lot of good care that is slowly bringing him back to full health. He is a very shy and quiet boy, but will easily let you love on him. He loves soft and warm beds that he snuggle up in after eating and playing a little. He gets along great with other dogs and has been around horses. Chucky really needs a home where he can be spoiled so he can be the best puppy he can be.SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption.
