Story
Yuli is a (approx) 2 year old Shepherd/Husky mix; she was next up to be EUTHANIZED at our local animal shelter and we didn't want that to happen.  Yuli is such a sweet girl - she has a happy and playful personality, but can also lay down and chill with her person(s). She rarely barks. As with most young dogs, she could probably benefit from some training for basic manners - but I can absolutely see her being such an amazing dog for someone - I hate that it's not us.  We thought our other dog wanted or needed a companion - we were wrong, sadly. He has gotten territorial and doesn't want her here; he's depressed, confused (he has been the only dog for 5 years), and just wants to stay in one room - away from her. We're having to confine Yuli to the living room, and our other dog to a back bedroom area.  She needs to find her forever home ASAP, since this set-up is not ideal for either dog.  I would love for her to go to a home with a backyard - possibly with other dogs.

Story
Barnsley’s story began when she was found wandering alone, unsure and without anyone to call her own. She was brought to animal control, where she waited patiently for someone to see the wonderful dog she is. About a year old, spayed, and microchipped, Barnsley has already shown how resilient she can be. She’s a happy, high-energy girl who truly loves to play. She seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, especially those who understand her rough-and-tumble play style and can keep up with her enthusiasm. When she first came to us, there was concern about a limp in one of her back legs. We had her examined twice to be absolutely sure, and thankfully the vet couldn’t find anything wrong. It may be an old injury or simply something to keep an eye on—but it doesn’t slow her spirit one bit. Barnsley is full of life, love, and possibility. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will cherish her energy, her heart, and the joy she brings every day. Are you her new family? Story
Introducing Lumi! She was on an adventure with a buddy and was spotted. They arrived to the shelter on 2/18. Her buddy was adopted and now it is Lumi's turn. She is 1 year old and weighs in at 60 pounds. She is a beauty with a heart full of love. She knows to sit and lay down when asked. Would you give Lumi the forever home she deserves? Ask for ID# 17053 Run 77. She will be spayed soon and micro-chipped upon adoption. She has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
