Story
Knox is one handsome hunk! His owner could no longer take care of him and he arrived to the shelter on 6/13. Knox is 2 years old and weighs in at 70 pounds. He is stunning and those eyes will melt your heart. He knows to sit, stay and down when asked. He is a sweetheart with lots of energy. He would make a great running buddy. His favorite time is play time. It is reported that he is good with children, dogs and cats. Wouldn't you like to wake up to that smile every morning? Ask for ID# 18511 Run 810. He is neutered and micro-chipped. He has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Blue is just 1 year old and was dropped off at the shelter as a stray and has been telling us ever since that he eager for a new home! As you probably already know, Blue is a loving chatter box who just wants to tell you about his day and let you know what he's doing all the time!Blue is a fan of butt scratches and rubs on his side, he'll even lean on you and let you know what spot to scratch with a bark!Blue is currently heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you! His treatment costs will be fully covered by the shelter, so he’ll have all the support he needs on his journey! If you're looking for a buddy with a whole lot of personality and not afraid to show it, then come say hello to Blue! 🐾Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
