Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Meet Tug! 3 years old | Dane/Husky mix | BIG boy (~90lbs-ish)   Tug is a large, goofy, high-energy guy who lives life full speed . He rarely barks, loves being part of the action, and will keep you laughing with his derpy personality.   He’ll need daily exercise, structure, and a home that understands big dogs—Husky experience would be a huge plus. Tug is also a bit of a counter surfer/trash inspector, so management is key.   Best fit: • Active home with a large yard. • Older kids (he’s big & gets excited) • Slow intros with dogs • Good with confident cats • Husky or high-energy breed experience preferred   Tug’s Rules: • If food is out → it’s mine • I’m 90lbs… but think I’m a lap dog • Exercise = mandatory • I may knock you over with love • Routine helps me thrive! If you think this big, energetic goofball looks like a good fit in your life submit that application.  He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $275.00  ***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***  July 22, 2026, 6:35 pm

Story
Meet Loki! He is a 2.5 year old Husky that came to us as an owner surrender when his owner could no longer keep him. He is a very sweet and goofy boy! He would love a nice active home as he is your typical energetic Husky. He is good with other dogs, but due to his high prey drive no cats for him. He has been around kids and is good with them but does need to learn some manners with jumping on them. He is current on vaccines, negative for heartworm, microchipped, and neutered

Story
Meet Khroni. She is a beautiful 3 year old Husky that came to us when her owner could no longer keep her. She is full of energy and would love a nice active home. She is good with other dogs, but due to her high prey drive no cats for her. She has been around kids and has done well, but does need to learn to not jump. This girl can clear a 4 foot fence and can be a little escape artist. She would do best with a 6 foot fence or a privacy fence. She is current on vaccines, negative for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed

Story
Hi there, my name is Binx! I came to Almost Home because a member of my family was dealing with health issues and could no longer take care of me. I need to go to a home with no cats, dogs, or kids. My previous owners have referred to me as an "escape artist," so my new home will need to have a safe and secure yard for me to enjoy. Don’t let my age fool you. I am still full of energy and love running around and playing. I am a typical vocal Husky mix. I am spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for heartworm, and microchipped.
