Story
This sweet little husky mix, who will turn 2 in April (DOB 4/26/23), has only one Christmas wish - to find a home to call her very own. She was found on the streets of Texas in 2023. She then spent a few months in the shelter before finding rescue down there. In January 2024 she came into the New Leash Family and has been in a foster home since then.    Zirah is very timid and takes awhile to warm up to new people so she will require a patient family who can continue to make her feel safe and one who doesn’t have a lot of new people coming over. She tends to be afraid of many things so we believe she needs a home without small children. She will likely run if not contained so a fenced in yard is required.   She is doing well with potty training  Loves being outside and the snow   Loves other dogs and really needs another playful dog to show her how grand life can be Gentle at giving kisses and taking treats Enjoys being the nosey neighbor and watching out then windows   After adopting a timid dog the best feeling in the world is seeing them blossom before your eyes.    Zirah is eligible for our foster to adopt program.   If you think you might be a good fit, please send us a message.  If you don't already have an application on file, please to go out website and fill one out!  www.newleashdogrescue.com ##1983299##

Story
Hello, I'm Thor! I am a 2-year-old male husky. I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. I am a foster-to-adopt candidate until all of my medical regiments are completed. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Smart, Handsome Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm nervous meeting new people, although I seem to prefer women and warm up to them faster. I'm not really food or toy motivated, but I LOVE being with other dogs! I came from the same home as Ryker who has helped me come out of my shell a little bit. My friends at CRHS think I'd do even better in foster, especially with another dog friend to show me the ropes! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I am very good at keeping my kennel clean, although it may take me some time to adjust to a new potty routine. I should do well in a home: Due to my reliance on other dogs for comfort, I am required to go into a home with another dog. Any children in my potential home will need to be 10 years or older due to my shy nature. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Running around outside with Ryker, lounging in a comfy spot Things I need work on are: Building confidence and basic commands.
