Meet Nikki – Your Next Adventure Buddy! Nikki is a spirited 4-year-old Husky–Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a zest for life. After being surrendered, she’s bounced back beautifully from a skin condition and a serious upper respiratory infection—both now fully treated. Nikki is healthy, happy, and eager to find her forever family! Playful & Energetic: Nikki loves zooming around the yard, chasing toys, and “talking” up a storm with her adorable husky howls. Dog-Friendly: She’s a social butterfly with other dogs, ready for playdates and dog-park adventures. (Sorry, kitties—Nikki’s not a cat fan.) Snuggle Expert: After an active romp, she’s the first to curl up beside you for some cozy downtime. Outdoor Enthusiast: Nikki is happiest outdoors! She loves going for strolls or just hanging out under a tree. Household Fit: She can play a bit rough (“zoomies” and wrestling-style fetch!), so a home without young children is ideal—this girl needs active teens or adults who can match her energy. Nikki is a good girl through and through, loyal and loving to everyone she meets. If you’re looking for a four-legged companion who’s up for fun, adventure, and heartfelt snuggles, Nikki is ready to make your house a home. Could you be the one to give Nikki the love and home she deserves?

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Meet Tug! 3 years old | Dane/Husky mix | BIG boy (~90lbs-ish)   Tug is a large, goofy, high-energy guy who lives life full speed . He rarely barks, loves being part of the action, and will keep you laughing with his derpy personality.   He’ll need daily exercise, structure, and a home that understands big dogs—Husky experience would be a huge plus. Tug is also a bit of a counter surfer/trash inspector, so management is key.   Best fit: • Active home with a large yard. • Older kids (he’s big & gets excited) • Slow intros with dogs • Good with confident cats • Husky or high-energy breed experience preferred   Tug’s Rules: • If food is out → it’s mine • I’m 90lbs… but think I’m a lap dog • Exercise = mandatory • I may knock you over with love • Routine helps me thrive! If you think this big, energetic goofball looks like a good fit in your life submit that application.  He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $275.00  ***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***  June 6, 2026, 10:25 pm

Story
Dusty came to us as a stray and has quickly shown us what a sweet boy he is. He is active, affectionate, and always happy to soak up attention, especially belly rubs. He would also be the perfect companion to take down to the lake to dip his paws in. Dusty would love a home where he can play, be loved, and enjoy plenty of snuggles.
