Story
Meet our petite husky queen 💙 At just around 30 pounds, she’s the perfect “just right” size—big enough to have that classic husky look, but small enough to fit perfectly in your lap (which, by the way, is her favorite place to be). We’re not exactly sure of her age, but what we do know is that she’s settled, calm, and past all the chaotic puppy antics. She’s the kind of girl who enjoys a peaceful environment, cozy spots, and being close to her people. She absolutely loves human connection and will happily soak up all the snuggles you’re willing to give—lap time included! 🐾 And if you’re lucky, you’ll get plenty of her sweet kisses too 💋 If she’s in a home with other dogs or kids, she’ll do best with companions who understand and respect her space. She’s not looking for chaos—just kindness, calm energy, and a family who “gets” her. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, perfectly-sized cuddle buddy with a husky soul, she just might be your girl. 💫 ✨ Available for foster or adoption ✨

Story
Buster is a male Husky/lab mix who was born about 2/2011. He is neutered and up to date on shots. He did test low heartworm positive, but it was so low the vet recommended just placing him. on prevention and letting the worms die off naturally. He gets along well with children and other dogs, but needs a home without cats. Poor buster was found as a stray and his owner could never be found so he is now in search of a new person to call his own.

Story
Meet Grizzly — the energetic, playful, and affectionate three-legged adventurer!Grizzly is a 3-year-old dog who proves every day that having three legs doesn’t slow him down. He has a zest for life, loves to run during walks, and turns every outing into an adventure. His playful personality shines through with his favorite toys — whether it’s a ball, a rope, or just chasing after a stick, Grizzly is always ready to engage and have fun.Though he has a lot of energy, Grizzly also has a calm, independent side. He enjoys time alone and can entertain himself, making him adaptable for households where you may need a dog who’s confident on his own.Grizzly absolutely adores people. He runs up to meet everyone he sees, tail wagging, ready for pets and cuddles. He loves to bask in the sun, lie on the grass, and soak up the outdoors while enjoying the company of his humans. He is fully house-trained and potty trained, which makes him easy to welcome into a home. While Grizzly loves people, he can becomes very vocal when he sees other dogs, so a home without other dogs or with a slow careful introductions is ideal. This charming, spirited boy is looking for a family who can match his playful energy, appreciate his independent streak, and give him the love and attention he craves. In return, Grizzly will offer unwavering affection, joyful companionship, and countless moments of laughter and love.Grizzly is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and currently thriving in foster care outside the shelter. Story
We are looking to rehome Zoey, a six-year-old Siberian Husky because she is not suitable for an apartment. She was adopted from the Tangipahoa Animal Shelter in July of 2025. Zoey is good natured, gentle and sweet, great with other dogs and small children. Ideally, she needs plenty of space to play. Her shots are current and she is microchipped. Zoey had an intervertebral disc degeneration issue last year, and needs joint supplements to prevent a future disc problem. She would be a great addition to your home. There is no rehoming fee.
