Tequila “Keela” 🖤❄️ Some dogs don’t need to be loud to be noticed… they just are. That’s Keela. With her striking ice-blue eyes and thick, fluffy coat, she turns heads instantly—but it’s her soft, gentle soul that really stays with you. Keela is the kind of dog who leans into you quietly, like she’s been waiting her whole life to feel safe. She’s affectionate, calm in the home, and enjoys playing in short bursts before settling in close to her people. She loves going for walks and does well with a no-pull harness, just needing a little guidance along the way. She is crate trained (especially if treats are involved 😉) and mostly potty trained, though like many dogs, she may need a little consistency during the transition to a new home. Keela would thrive with someone patient—someone who understands that trust isn’t rushed, it’s earned. She can be a little unsure in new situations (car rides and stairs are still a work in progress), but with time, encouragement, and a steady routine, she continues to blossom. She’s done well with other dogs and seems to find comfort in having a canine companion nearby. Because of her curiosity, slow introductions with small animals are recommended. More than anything, Keela just wants to be loved—and to finally feel like she belongs. ✨ Soft. Gentle. Loyal. ✨ A quiet soul with so much love to give If you’re the kind of person who sees the beauty in a dog finding her confidence… Keela might just be your girl.

Story
Mama Everest is a stunning husky/shepherd mix with a heart as big as her name. She comes to us from the Red Lake Reservation, where she did everything she could to keep her babies safe in the harsh Minnesota cold. Everest gave birth under a porch, sheltering her puppies as best she could. A kind community member brought the puppies inside to keep them warm, while Everest stayed close by—watching, waiting, and protecting from outside, even though she wasn’t comfortable coming indoors herself. Her devotion never wavered. She has proven to be an incredible mama. Her puppies are healthy, happy, and chunky thanks to her constant care. Everest has done her job beautifully—and now, once her babies are fully weaned, she deserves the chance to be someone’s baby too. Mama Everest is gentle, resilient, and deeply loyal. She’s learning that she’s safe now and that humans can be trusted to take care of her as well. If you’re patient, compassionate, and ready to open your heart to a dog who has given so much of herself already, Mama Everest may be the perfect fit. Her next chapter should be one of rest, love, and forever. 💙 Her adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. Story
Sweet Duke is a 7-year-old, 76-pound Husky mix with gorgeous blue eyes and a friendly personality. He`s unique for a Husky in that he is incredibly quiet! He`s a chill, non vocal dog who happily exists in a calm and relaxed way. If you love the breed but are looking for a friend on the lower energy side, he might just be your guy. Duke loves getting out for walks, but once he has had his fill he`s all about relaxing, snuggling, and sleeping in bed with his people. He`s potty trained, knows the command `sit,` and has great recall once he bonds with you.Duke adores the puppies here at the shelter and his previous owner said he`s had dog friends in the past. He`s also good with children! He does have a few sensitive spots that he prefers not to have touched, so any kids in the home should be old enough to understand and respect his boundaries.Duke is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

Story
Meet Paco! This little guy is a 4-month-old Siberian Husky mix who came to the shelter with his littermates all the way from Texas! These pups are shy for a moment, but open up in a big way once they’re comfortable. They’re like little magnets once they love you, never wanting to leave your side and giving kisses whenever they can. These littermates are cuddle bugs, but they also have lots of energy and love to get outside to sniff around and get their energy out!Paco is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 to 5:00 or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00.
