I recently adopted Lani not too long ago in November of last year. She is a sweetheart and I love her to pieces. However, she isn’t really conducive to my lifestyle and I feel bad that I cannot provide the exercise that she needs as an active herding dog. Also, Lani does not like cats AT ALL, and she is extremely stubborn. I have taken her to training and tried to train her myself, but commands only work when she wants them too. She doesn’t have any health problems, but I’d like to rehome her to a family that is experienced with animals, will provide what she needs instinctually, and will love and treat her with unconditional love.

Yet I've always been good with cats, and I grew up with my mom, brothers, and sisters. I know how to love a family—I just need to feel safe enough to play. Right now, I live with another dog. We fight over attention. I can't share yet. I need to be your only dog—not because I'm mean, but because I'm fragile. I'm anxious when left alone. I love to talk, give hugs, and run free with you. I sleep in a kennel beside the bed, but I'd rather be beside you. What I need: a gentle human, no other dogs, patience with my anxiety, and room to run.
