Story
Sasha is mostly BLIND. She has been passed around to several families who really did not want her and didn't take good care of her.  She's about 5 years old and we really don't know what happened to her vision but it was probably congenital. She is used to being outside and wanders around without fear even though she often bumps right into things. We have learned she loves to be inside, cuddled up with humans. Sasha LOVES human contact and craves any attention. She tends to jump up on us and gives hugs and kisses! Sasha is very unhappy at the shelter, however, not eating or sleeping well due to the loud environment. She is underweight and we are really trying to put some weight on her.  She is a super sweet dog and very smart. She needs to be in a home. Can you either foster or adopt this precious soul? No chickens, cats or small dogs for this lady. Story
**Milo was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Milo will be looking for a forever home before he graduates in April, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us. Read more about him below… Milo grew up in a home with kids and loved dearly, but they had to move into a small apartment and could not take him with. Milo can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly, especially if you have treats! He does great with kids and loves to play with other dogs.  Because he loves to play, he really needs a yard he can run around in or someone who will take him on adventures. Milo is full grown at 31 pounds so we think he has more Terrier in him than Husky, but we know mom had a lot of Husky in her.  This little man will make a great family pet or companion for any dog lover.  If you would like more information, please contact the shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.  March 2, 2026, 2:42 pm
