Story
Meet Ashton! 🐾💙 Ashton is a one-of-a-kind pit bull/husky mix with striking dual-colored eyes and a personality that’s impossible to ignore. This handsome boy is sweet, playful, smart, and full of life, and he always finds a way to keep the people around him smiling. True to his husky side, Ashton is a bit talkative and isn’t shy about sharing his opinions. Whether he’s chatting with you, playing around, or showing off his goofy side, there’s never a dull moment with him. He’s incredibly smart and curious, always ready for fun or a new adventure. Ashton also has a little mischievous streak, almost like a cat—he can be a bit demanding and likes things his way sometimes. But underneath that big personality is a loving and affectionate dog who truly enjoys being around his people and being part of the action. If you’re looking for a dog with character, humor, and lots of love to give, Ashton could be the perfect companion. He’s ready to find a home that will appreciate his silly spirit, big personality, and those unforgettable eyes. 🐾💙 Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to be preapproved. All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love. Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. If you don't have room to take home a pet but want to support our efforts to save animals in need, please consider making a donation. We are not city or state funded and rely solely on private donations that allow us to continue saving lives. Not good with cats,
Story
I知 not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. - TJ Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable.
