My name is Blake, and I'm a 2-year-old Siberian Husky weighing in at a healthy 48 pounds. I'm a bold, playful guy who believes life is much more fun when there's something exciting happening! If you're looking for an adventure buddy, I hope you've got your walking shoes ready. I love going for walks, playing tug, chasing my toys, and hanging out with the people I love. Basically, if it involves fun, I'm interested! I'm also a pretty smart guy. I already know some commands, so I'm ready to keep learning and show off how clever I am. I am currently at the SPOT Training Program in Springfield learning manners and more commands. I am working to be the best version of myself. I enjoy being around people and am tolerant of children. When it comes to other dogs, I'm a little more selective. I have my preferences when choosing my canine friends, so a meet and greet would be important to make sure we hit it off. Now for my one big rule: cats and I do not get along. For everyone's safety, I'm looking for a home without feline roommates. I'm partially house trained and have been doing well with it here at Heartland. Hi! Hello! How do you do?? My name is Dante and the lady at the shelter says that I am one of the smartest dogs that she has ever worked with. I am doing FANTASTIC on what they call potty training and doing my best to ignore what they call sleep training. I love kids and people but cats freak me out. The ones I have met are not so friendly, or at least they don't look very friendly. I really like the tiny humans. They are so much fun to play with! I haven't really bought into the idea that hands are not toys and not for biting, though. The lady who thinks I am super smart says that that is what to expect from a puppy and I will do great with lots of patience and training. Most importantly, though...look at my ears. Aren't they adorable? And my eyes! So. Freaking. Cute. They are irresistible. Give those ladies a call and get an appointment to meet me!
