Story
Piper is waiting for her chance… could you be the one to give it to her? Every rescue story starts with one person saying, “I’ll help.” Right now, Piper is waiting for that person. She came to Rome Animal Control as a stray, but sadly, no one ever came looking for her. While we can’t change how her story began, we can help write a much happier next chapter. But first…She needs someone to say yes. Meet Piper: Approximately 40 pounds (the perfect medium size!) Possibly a Husky mix The most unique, beautiful coat Seems to do well with other dogs Cats unknown Ready for a fresh start Piper has one of those looks that makes you stop and take a second glance. Her markings are absolutely stunning, and combined with her bright eyes and sweet face, she’s truly one-of-a-kind. We can only imagine how beautiful she’ll be once she’s settled into a home where she can finally relax and let her personality shine. Right now, Piper is still waiting at animal control. She isn’t in a Rover’s Do Over foster home yet because we need someone to step forward first. The moment we have a foster or an adopter, we can bring Piper into our rescue and begin the next chapter she’s been waiting for. Imagine how different her life could look. Trading kennel walls for a cozy couch. Trading lonely days for neighborhood walks. Trading uncertainty for a family who loves her. That’s the future we want for Piper. Whether you’re ready to open your home forever or simply offer her a safe place to land while she waits for her family, you can completely change the course of her life. Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in a dog. Could that person be you? Story
Meet Athena... a goddess looking for her kingdom. Some dogs are beautiful. Athena is breathtaking. With her striking coat, one stunning blue eye, and confident presence, she turns heads everywhere she goes. But the best thing about Athena isn't how she looks... It's how incredibly smart she is. Athena isn't just a pretty face. She's a total show-off... and we mean that in the best way. Ask her to sit? Easy. Ask her to "sit pretty?" She'll happily show off her skills like she's been waiting for someone to ask. This girl LOVES to learn and absolutely lights up when she gets the chance to use her brain. About Athena: Beautiful, striking coat Gorgeous blue eye Exceptionally smart Knows multiple commands, including "sit pretty" Seems to do well with other dogs Cats unknown Higher energy Looking for a foster or forever family Athena is looking for someone who appreciates both her beauty and her brains. She's an active girl who will thrive with a family that's excited to get outside, go on adventures, continue her training, and give her the exercise and enrichment she needs. In return? You'll have one incredibly loyal, intelligent companion by your side. Right now, Athena is waiting at animal control. We would LOVE to welcome her into the Rover's Do Over family, but we need a foster or adopter to step forward first. Because foster homes are what make rescue possible. Rover's Do Over provides veterinary care, supplies, and support. You provide the love, adventure, and safe place to land. Apply to foster:www.roversdoover.com/foster Apply to adopt:www.roversdoover.com/adopt Please share. Athena has everything she's looking for in a family... Beauty. Brains. A heart full of love. Now she just needs someone to recognize the incredible dog standing right in front of them. #HelpAthena #FosterNeeded #AdoptAthena #RoversDoOver #SecondChances #AdoptDontShop ##2781440##

Story
Meet Xena! Xena is a 2-year-old pit bull / German shepherd mix, weighing around 75 pounds. She’s a smart, inquisitive girl who can be a little timid at first, but once she warms up she quickly becomes your loyal best friend and loves being with her people.Xena is housebroken and has done well with some dogs, possibly a male dog, with proper introductions. She would likely do best in a home with older kids, if any. She has lived with cats before, but we would want to do some retesting to be sure.If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just needs a little time to show her wonderful personality, Xena might be the girl for you.

Story
Luke is a 3-year-old, 42-pound sweetheart who’s ready to find his forever home! He was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter and has been settling in wonderfully at his foster home. His foster mom says he’s an easy, loving, and all-around good boy. Luke is fully vetted – neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. He walks great on a leash and enjoys getting outside for strolls and fresh air. With his calm, gentle nature and medium size, Luke would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a sweet, well-mannered pup to share life with. He’s adjusting beautifully and just needs someone to give him the love and stability he’s been waiting for. Could that be you? 💙
