Story
Intake Date: 20 February 2026 ----- Age at Intake: 4 weeks ----- Breed: Mixed breed (DNA pending) ----- Size: 10.6 lbs at 6 weeks (and growing fast!) ----- Status: rescued with sister (“Cardboard Box Puppies”) ----- Compatible with: Dogs, cats, children ----- Suitable for: committed family prepared for puppy training ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: typical puppy training and structure ----- Additional Notes: Meet Silo 🐾 Silo is one of our “Cardboard Box Puppies,” and he is already making it very clear that he plans to take on life with maximum enthusiasm. At just 6 weeks old, this little guy weighs in at a whopping 10.6 pounds and is growing like a weed! Compared to his sister at 8.2 pounds, Silo is already proving himself to be the big, boisterous brother of the duo. If we had to describe Silo in a few words, they would be: playful, talkative, and a bulldozer of fun. This boy charges into life with joyful confidence. He wrestles, explores, chats, and generally makes sure everyone around him knows he’s ready to play. His adorable ears and big personality make him impossible not to love. Silo is currently being raised in a foster home where he is being exposed to cats, dogs, and children, giving him a wonderful foundation for socialization as he grows. As with all puppies, Silo will need a family ready for the full commitment of raising a young dog — training, guidance, patience, and lots of love. Puppies are a long-term responsibility, and his future family should be ready for 15+ years of companionship, fun, and adventure. We have also submitted a DNA test, so we hope to have more clues about Silo’s breed mix soon. For now, we just know this: Silo is full of life, full of personality, and ready to bring a whole lot of joy to the lucky family who welcomes him home. 💛 If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is preferred and prioritized.

He was happy to meet new people at the event and soaked up all the love he could get—he has a very affectionate and social personality. He did great spending time with his brother Crew and seemed comfortable and relaxed with him. He did get a little overstimulated when around all 7 pups in the litter,  but quickly rebounded when separated into a smaller group.  Vinyl currently lives with a cat in his foster home, which is a great sign for potential adopters with feline friends! When he visited my place after the event, he was very respectful of our resident cats and other dogs as well. Overall, Vinyl is a loving, happy puppy who will thrive in a home ready to continue working on typical puppy training (including manners and appropriate play). He has a wonderful foundation and is going to make a very loyal and fun companion! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org March 25, 2026, 7:45 am

If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice.   Crew would love to spend time with you!   Foster Home Feedback  3/23/26 Foster Feedback: Crew attended the event at Valley Imports yesterday with his littermates and had an absolute blast! He did great in a busy environment—he loved meeting new people and did wonderfully with the other pups, playing like a champ the whole time. After all the fun, Crew came home and completely zonked out, which tells you just how much he enjoyed himself!! Crew is truly the best mix of snuggly and playful—he’s a total lover who also brings that fun puppy energy. He’s currently working on potty training and making good progress. He’s also learning appropriate boundaries with cats (a work in progress), but he’s a smart boy who is eager to learn. Overall, Crew is a sweet, social, and affectionate pup who would make a wonderful addition to a lucky family!   3/12/26 Foster Feedback: Crew’s personality is really starting to shine!  One of his favorite things is spending time with his foster sister Kayah — they’re often found wrestling, chasing each other around the yard, or snuggling up after a good play session. Like most puppies, Crew is curious, energetic, and always ready for fun. He’s currently working on his potty training and learning the routines of home life. With a little guidance and consistency, he’s going to grow into such a wonderful companion! His striking baby blue eyes might catch your attention first, but his sweet and playful nature will win you over!  Can Crew join YOUR crew?!   3/3/2026 Foster Feedback: Crew is a confident little guy with a big puppy personality! He’s curious about everything and loves exploring the world around him. Nothing seems to scare this brave boy for long — he’s always ready to check things out and see what adventure comes next. Crew is already trying to make friends with the resident dogs and often invites the big dogs to play. He’s social, playful, and very people-oriented. When he’s not busy investigating or bouncing around, he’s happy to soak up attention and cuddles. Like all puppies, Crew is still learning the basics of house life, but he’s a smart little guy and eager to figure things out. He would do great with a family ready for all the fun, laughter, and puppy antics that come with raising a young pup. If you’re looking for a sweet, outgoing puppy to grow up with your family, Crew might just be your guy.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org March 25, 2026, 7:45 am

Her foster family calls her “Chica” because this little girl has a spicy, confident personality that shines through in everything she does. She loves exploring new places, happily greets new people, and plays comfortably with dogs of any size. Lia is making steady progress with potty training and is learning the routine of going outside. She adores being around people and would choose human company over just about anything else. She settles into her kennel after a few initial complaints and then relaxes well. Lia is a lively, affectionate pup who will bring energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of love to her future family. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org March 25, 2026, 7:45 am

If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice.   Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is ready for her next great adventure!   Foster Home Feedback  3/19/26 Foster Feedback: We’re just shy of 3 weeks having Rikki-Tikki-Tavi in our home. She’s growing into such a sweet and slightly sassy girl. She loves to be outside now that the days are turning warmer and greatly enjoys either chasing a ball or her foster sister around the yard. Rikki is still sleeping through the night like a champ, and voices her opinions about being left alone while we are at work. She had her first event and was quite the social butterfly with both kids and adults.    3/6/26 Foster Feedback: Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is a very sweet and sometimes spicy little girl. Her personality is still developing, but so far she’s a very happy puppy.  Potty training is still in the very early stages, but she sleeps like a champ in a kennel overnight with no complaints. Rikki adores her much bigger foster dog siblings. The resident cat, however, remains a puzzling creature—mostly because he’s too aloof to bother with her. Like many young pups, Rikki is in her “shark phase,” so good chew bones are a must. During the workday, Rikki stays in a gated enclosure, which is the only time she voices her displeasure.  Rikki is sweet, silly, and ready for a family who will guide her through puppyhood with patience and love.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org March 25, 2026, 7:45 am

If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice.   Roo would be so pleased to meet you!   Foster Home Feedback 3/17/26 Foster Feedback: Roo has been with us a little over two weeks now, and he continues to impress us with how smart, playful, and affectionate he is.  Potty training is coming along beautifully! Roo is  improving every single day. He’s also become very comfortable with his crate, often going in on his own and settling quietly at bedtime. As of today, he’s gone several nights without needing a middle‑of‑the‑night potty break and has had no accidents. Such a big milestone for this little guy! Roo has met new people, including kids, and greeted everyone with his usual happy curiosity. At a recent PetSmart adoption event he was a bit unsure at first, but he warmed up quickly. He met lots of people, puppies, and adult dogs and handled it all like a total rockstar. Roo loves to play with his littermate and our resident dogs. He also loves to explore our backyard even in the snow and cold.  Roo is such a handsome, bright, and lovable pup. He’s going to make an incredible companion for a very lucky family.   3/8/26 Foster Feedback: After one week with us, Roo is making great progress and his personality is shining through!  He shows a more independent personality compared to his littermate. He appears to be very smart and is already beginning to pick up the “sit” command, which shows he is responding well to early training. Crate training has been improving each night. Roo has started going into the kennel on his own at bedtime, and there have been three nights with no whining when the crate is initially covered and closed. It seems that when he does wake during the night, it may be because his more vocal littermate starts crying. Overall, the stretches of sleep are getting longer each night, indicating that Roo is quickly adapting to the routine. Roo is also making great progress with potty training. He willingly goes outside multiple times a day and is having fewer accidents in the house. He also picked up on using potty pads very quickly for times when he can’t make it outside in time. Personality-wise, Roo enjoys cuddling but is also comfortable spending time independently. He seems to have a nice balance of affection and confidence for his age. He is a very happy, curious boy who will make a wonderful companion!  . 3/3/2026 Foster Feedback: Meet Roo – Our Sweet & Playful Boy!  Roo has been with us for three days and is already showing what a sweet, fun-loving puppy he is! He’s very affectionate and enjoys being close to his people. After playtime, he’s happy to soak up attention and cuddles. He’s playful and curious, engaging well with toys and exploring his surroundings like a typical confident puppy. Roo also seems smart and is already picking up on routines. Potty training is off to a great start. He’s learning to use puppy pads and is catching on quickly to going outside. He now heads out with the other dogs without needing to be carried.  We’re working on crate training, and while he’s still adjusting, he seems less anxious with separation than his littermate. With consistency and routine, he should continue to build confidence. Roo has done great meeting our resident dogs, another older foster puppy, and both adult and child visitors. He’s handled new experiences well and appears social and adaptable. As a typical 8-week-old puppy, he will need continued structure, routine, and training to help him grow into a well-mannered adult. Based on his size and build, he will likely be a large dog when full grown. Overall, Roo is a smart, affectionate, playful puppy who is off to a wonderful start and will make a fantastic companion. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org March 25, 2026, 7:45 am
