Story
Meet Sitka, a 3- to 5-year-old Husky with a heart full of joy! This adult dog is the perfect blend of energy and affection. Known for her sweet and friendly nature, Sitka is also a little goofy and loves to play. She's great with cats and enjoys cuddling after a fun day of activities. Adopting Sitka means bringing home a bundle of love who will brighten each day with her playful spirit and loving cuddles. She's ready to be your loyal companion and a cherished member of your family! Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
*Available for foster-to-adopt!Sawyer is easily the biggest of his litter. This blue-eyed stunner weighed in at 28 lbs at only 10 weeks of age! His massive paws leave little room to assume that he will be anything but huge. However, as is often the case, Sawyer is a gentle giant, perhaps the calmest of his littermates, and is suprisingly careful of how he moves his body. Like his littermates, Sawyer is beyond food motivated, luring easily into sit position and following the treat closely and eagerly. Breed guesses for this hunk of love range from husky, pyrenees, lab, mastiff, heeler - he's a true Heinz 57. Sawyer is smart, loving, wrinkly, beautiful - what are you waiting for!! Come make him yours! Sawyer's neuter is scheduled for 2/18, so we are hoping to place him in a foster-to-adopt home so that he does not have to stay at the shelter until then.

Story
*Foster-to-adopt only!Sullivan is a big, floppy, love of a puppy. This blue-eyed spotted wonder is full of enthusiasm, loves to give kisses, and is eager to clumsily bounce his way into your lap. He is alll about attention, affection, and fun! Sullivan is easygoing and eager. Weighing in at 25 lbs when he was only 10 weeks old, Sullivan is going to be a big boy, only matched by by his big paws and even bigger heart! Breed guesses range from husky, heeler, pyrenees, lab, etc. Sullivan is very treat motivated and lures beautifully for his treats. Teaching all the tricks should be easy with him! Sully is your typical energetic puppy who is looking for a family. His neuter is scheduled for 2/18, after which he will be fully adoptable. Until then, we'd love to get him out of the shelter and into a foster-to-adopt family!
