Story
Amarok is a gentle northern girl with a calm, loving spirit who is ready to find her forever family. Though she’s about eight years old, she still has a youthful energy for long walks and outdoor adventures - but when she’s inside, she’s the picture of relaxation and contentment.Amarok adores being with her people and would be happiest in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches. She coexists peacefully with other dogs in her foster home, though she doesn’t interact much with them, and would do equally well as an only dog if she had plenty of human companionship. She has a prey drive and will happily chase after squirrels, rabbits, or cats, so a cat-free home is best. On walks, she does best in a harness, though her foster sometimes uses a slip lead for extra control when wildlife appears.Amarok is perfectly house-trained, shows no destructive habits, and has no signs of separation anxiety. She isn’t interested in toys, but she absolutely loves her walks and the chance to explore. Liver treats are her favorite reward, though she’s happy to snack on carrots, blueberries, or watermelon too.She has met children and was calm and friendly, so we believe she would do well in a home with respectful kids. Visitors are always welcomed warmly - no jumping, just gentle greetings. Her ideal forever home could be with a single person, couple, or family, as long as she has time with her humans and daily exercise. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but she would also be perfectly happy with regular walks and hikes. Amarok is not high-energy but is far from a couch potato - she strikes the perfect balance.Despite her age, Amarok still has a youthful spark and so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will enjoy life’s adventures as much as life’s quiet moments, Amarok may just be the perfect match! Please note that due to the high volume of applications our volunteers process, we will only contact those with a strong potential for a successful match. Story
Meet Radar!Joined us in: August 2025About Radar:• A smart, active, and happy-go-lucky puppy with a goofy personality.• Loves treats, toys, and playtime with his humans.• Enjoys watching the world go by from the living room window and visiting his favorite neighbors on walks.• Very affectionate once comfortable — he’s started asking for pets, cuddles, and belly rubs (often upside-down across a lap!).His perfect match:• An active home with time and energy to keep him physically and mentally stimulated.• A fenced yard where he can burn off energy and enjoy playing in the snow.• An adopter who enjoys training and enrichment and is happy to continue working on puppy manners• Would do well with a dog sibling after proper introductions — he loves other dogs and learning how to “dog” Some extra facts about Radar:• Knows several cues already: sit, down, spin, come, back up, and “look” to focus his attention.• Highly motivated by treats and toys, making him fun and rewarding to train.• Crate trained and almost fully house trained• Still very much a puppy and will do best in a puppy-proofed home with a consistent routine.• Likely not a match for homes with cats due to prey drive.• Has made huge progress with confidence — once shy with strangers, he now happily greets the world. In short:Radar is a bright, joyful Husky pup with a big personality, a loving heart, and endless enthusiasm for life. With the right active home and continued positive guidance, he’ll be an incredibly fun and devoted companion. Follow his foster journey on Instagram: @ygk9foster

Story
Hi, I'm Champ!  As you can see from my photos, I'm a pretty handsome guy with a great smile. In typical husky fashion, I have a LOT of energy and would love to be your hiking, running or swimming buddy. I even have a number of tricks to keep you entertained! I look up to the great Houdini and have been known to make great escapes of my own. All of my furriends are impressed when they hear about the times I've jumped over fences and broke through crates! The PDA handlers describe me as goofy, loving, loyal and sweet. DOB: 2021 Approx 70lbs Breed: Husky mix, approx 90lbs
