Lottie / Female / 4 months / 25 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Untested with Children / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba / Fostered in Toronto **Follow Lottie’s journey on Instagram: @murphsfosterpups Meet Lottie! This little ball of fur came to us from Manitoba with her sister, Wren. Lottie’s fosters describe her as curious, playful, friendly and full of spunk! If you are looking for a young pup who is ready to learn all about the world and become the best companion, Lottie is your gal. In true puppy fashion Lottie loves to explore and stay busy. You will find her playing with and chewing on toys, running around and exploring outside, or staring at her humans with the best puppy dog eyes and big ears. She is very affectionate, but not big on cuddles. Lottie seems to be comfortable and confident with independent play for her age. She loves puzzles and enrichment to stimulate her clever brain. Like many young puppies, Lottie is still learning that being alone is okay and will need patience as she builds confidence. After only a short time Lottie has learned so much. She is potty trained and crate trained. She is still working on her manners and learning what life is like within a home. Lottie will require a lot of time and patience as she continues developing her skills, especially while she teethes and learns what is and is not allowed. Lottie is a dream on walks. She enjoys sniffing her way through the neighbourhood and does not show signs of fear at other people or sounds. Lottie does have the support of her foster's resident dog who is helping show her the way. Lottie would make a great addition to a family with another dog as long as they can handle all her puppy antics. Lottie has not met children, but given her age and demeanor we think she will do well with respectful dog-savvy kids. With her breed, Lottie has the potential to grow a lot and become quite furry. She is looking for an active family in a home with a yard, or access to greenspace nearby. She will likely require frequent brushing as the seasons change as well. Lottie will make an amazing addition to any family. Her curious, silly, spunky personality shines through and her love of learning will make the chaos of puppy raising so much fun! As a condition of the adoption contract, Lottie’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit - Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required). - Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage. - Spay/neuter within 6 months of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the spay/neuter will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Lottie, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Lottie’s adoption fee is $1000. Good with dogs,
Story
Eliza is a 3-month-old Husky-Shepherd mix with a big personality, an adventurous spirit, and a playful zest for life. This happy girl is always ready for fun, whether she's exploring the backyard, playing with her dog friends, or soaking up attention from her favourite people. Friendly and confident, Eliza enjoys meeting new people and has never met a stranger she didn't want to say hello to. Eliza gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has done well with children, making her a great candidate for an active family. She sleeps well in her crate, walks nicely on leash, and is making excellent progress with her housetraining. She is also at the perfect age to continue building her skills, and puppy classes will be a wonderful way to strengthen her manners while building a lifelong bond with her family. Like any young puppy, Eliza is still learning about the world. She has plenty of playful energy and can sometimes be a little enthusiastic during play, so continued positive reinforcement and consistency will help her grow into a well-mannered adult. Because of her puppy exuberance, she may be best suited to a home with older children or younger kids who are familiar with puppies and can help reinforce appropriate boundaries and gentle interactions. Eliza would thrive in a home that is ready to embrace all the fun, laughter, and adventures that come with raising a puppy. Whether she joins an active family, a home with another playful dog, or first-time adopters committed to training, Eliza is sure to reward them with endless love, loyalty, and joyful companionship. Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption. Local adopters can take advantage of 50% off a training course at Ruff Haus in Barrie (www.ruffhaus.ca) and all adopters will also be signed up for Petcademy to offer 30 days of free text-based behavioural support. Please visit our website www.preciouspawsrescue.ca to submit an adoption application.

Wren / Female / 4 months / 25 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba/ Fostered in Toronto **Follow Wren’s journey on Instagram: @benjisbuddys Meet Wren! Wren's foster describes her as "an angel," and it's easy to see why. Confident, curious, and endlessly affectionate, Wren is the kind of puppy who greets every day as a new adventure. Wren and her sister, Lottie, were found as strays and surrendered to our rescue partners in northern Manitoba. Since arriving in foster care, Wren has blossomed into a playful, social puppy who loves people, other dogs, and discovering the world around her. Whether she's wrestling with her foster brother, exploring the backyard, working on a lick mat, or proudly carrying around her favourite toy, Wren is happiest when she's busy. She's incredibly curious, loves to learn, and isn't easily fazed by new sights or sounds. When playtime winds down, she's more than happy to curl up for cuddles and hand out puppy kisses. Her signature Bambi-like hops and habit of sleeping with all four paws in the air are guaranteed to make you smile. Wren is friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets. She has done well with respectful, dog-savvy children and would thrive in an active family committed to continuing her training and socialization. A home with another playful, well-balanced dog would be ideal. Wren absolutely loves other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion to play with and learn from. Like any puppy, Wren is still learning. She is making wonderful progress with house training, already knows "sit," is learning additional commands, and walks beautifully on leash for her age. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is gradually building confidence when left alone. Her new family should be prepared to continue working on puppy manners, appropriate chewing, and independence using positive reinforcement. Wren enjoys daily walks, enrichment activities, and interactive play to keep both her body and mind busy. She rides well in the car, can likely live with a dog-savvy cat after proper introductions, and has an umbilical hernia that will continue to be monitored by the rescue. Above all, Wren is a joyful, loving puppy with a heart as big as her personality. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy and cuddle companion, Wren is ready to steal your heart. As a condition of the adoption contract, Wren’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. Story
Blue is a five-year-old Husky who has come an incredible way since arriving in our care and now he's ready to find the people who will love him for the big, sweet, sometimes vocal boy he is. When Blue first came to us as an unclaimed stray, he was carrying a little too much weight and was understandably nervous about some of the things happening around him. During his initial triage, invasive handling and people standing over him made him uncomfortable. He also had an unfortunate altercation with a much smaller dog while he was loose and running excitedly toward the dog. The other dog sustained one small puncture wound. But Blue has shown us again and again that one difficult moment does not define him. Over the months, Blue has blossomed. He has shed some pounds, gained confidence, and let his wonderfully sweet personality shine through. He is friendly with everyone he has met and has become a favourite among our dog walkers and staff. Blue is a great leash walker and can be comfortably walked by volunteers at a Level 3. His walkers have described him as: Very food motivated, walked well, love this big guy. And: Really coming out of his shell, walks very well on leash, loves to be brushed and loves treats and takes them nicely. Blue is a big fan of treats and takes them nicely, and if there is one thing he might love almost as much as snacks, its being brushed! He absolutely enjoys it. He also loves getting pets and is now comfortable with staff standing over him — a huge improvement from when he first arrived. Blue has also made wonderful progress with handling. While he still prefers that his front legs not be handled excessively, he communicates this appropriately by simply pulling his leg away. Otherwise, he has demonstrated that he can be very comfortable with routine handling, including having his paws squeezed, his mouth touched, and hands run along his body. Because of his sensitivity around his front leg, his back leg is recommended for blood draws. And what about other dogs? We believe Blues original incident with the smaller dog was situational rather than representative of his overall behaviour with dogs. He was a large dog loose and excitedly approaching a much smaller dog, and we have seen a very different picture of him in controlled settings. Blue is regularly rotated with smaller dogs in the pen without issue. On one occasion, he was barking at a smaller dog, but when the other dog barked back, Blue immediately jumped back and stopped barking — a pretty good reminder that this big guy can be a little unsure of himself, too! More recently, Blue met a friendly female dog who was slightly smaller than him. He was very interested in sniffing her, and after their initial greetings, the two were able to walk side by side with relaxed bodies and open mouths. Blue is also starting to show more of his Husky personality as he becomes comfortable. He can be a little vocal, he is food motivated, and he has a sweet, charming presence that makes it very easy to fall for him. What kind of home is Blue looking for? Blue would love a home where his people will continue to build on all the progress he has made and appreciate him for the big, lovable Husky that he is. We recommend no other small dogs in the home and, because of his size and history, we do not recommend a home with small children. For the right family, Blue has so much to offer. He has already worked incredibly hard to come out of his shell, and now he deserves the chance to continue that journey in a home of his own. If you're looking for a big-hearted Husky who loves walks, treats, attention and a good brushing session, Blue might just be your guy. Please complete an adoption request: https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families. *Please note: we only adopt within Ontario

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.KOKANEE hails from Fort Severn, a Northern community and came south with her 5 siblings, Yamaska, Arisaig, Algonquin, Banff & Makwa (they’re known as the Provincial Parks Litter) and she came south to find her forever home. She’s had *1 set of puppy vaccines, a microchip, “Interceptor Plus” dewormer and has been deemed a healthy girl by her Vet. We actually have a video showing both parents and mum looks like a medium sized Collie/Old English Sheepdog and her dad possibly a large sized black Lab/Border Collie/Shepherd. We do also see Newfoundlander breed in the litter so we do expect her to be a large breed dog. She comes from a community with many stray dogs so she no doubt has many different breeds in her that are not as notable as well. She’s a very placid, laid back little fluff ball who loves her humans almost as much as she loves taking naps. Although she’s super chill, gentle and quiet, she likes to dominant over her one brother and will push him out the way to eat his kibble. She loves to play in her fenced-in yard and will happily chase her siblings around in it. She’s well socialized with people and will excitedly run up to greet them with a wagging tail. She loves her snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap to get lots of them.  KOKANEE is a happy-go-lucky, playful puppy who’s full of curiosity and is just learning what squeaky toys are all about and she’s always startled when one of her favourites actually has a squeaky in it. With her lovely personality and good nature she’s ready to find her forever home where she can continue to thrive and grow. KOKANEE has just started her crate training and she’s picking up on it very quickly as she’s one smart little lady. She’s only just started going out for her bathroom breaks so she’s just starting to understand that’s the place to do her business. She’s not going out for walks just yet seeing as she’s not vaccinated enough but she is wearing a collar and harness while on a leash so she can be walked around the back yard. Due to teething, she’s at a chewing stage and needs lots of chewy toys to satisfy that urge not to chew on anything that she shouldn’t. She really loves to chew on a Nyla bone to keep those little teeth busy too. She’s starting to learn a couple of basic commands already such as “sit” for her meals and take treats “gentle.” KOKANEE would love an active family who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take her on adventures with them. She travels well in a vehicle and will just rest in her crate and quietly enjoy being driven around. There’s a resident dog in her foster home and she’ll seek him out to romp and play with so she would definitely suit being with other dogs in her new home. Ideally they should be chill and placid like she is and they’d be fine putting up with puppy antics. She can be an only dog as long as she’s not left alone for long periods at a time. She hasn't met a cat but seeing as she’s just a puppy and with a slow, monitored introduction they should do well together. She requires a fenced-in yard so she can run around and play safely so she wouldn’t suit being in an apartment and that’s also due to the size we think she’ll grow to be. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  KOKANEE, like all puppies is a cute, playful and fun puppy but she’ll require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to commit to signing her up for puppy training/obedience classes so she can be the most well behaved puppy possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spay performed by the time she’s 6 months of age. It will either be at the Rescue’s vet’s office or be at the Barrie SPCA. You do have the option to use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it at the SPCA. However, her spay will still have to be performed in the above timeframe for the reimbursement and we’ll need a copy of the procedure invoice and an updated photo of her (preferably in a onsie or cone after the surgery.) We use the photo on our fb page along with other animals that were spay/neutered that same week. If KOKANEE sounds like she’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her. It should be noted that puppies personalities can change daily/weekly as their little brains develop. We try to keep our puppy postings as up-to-date as possible but due to their development, it’s not always possible to note 100% accurate behavioural information.  * She’ll receive her second vaccine and be ready for adoption the weekend of August 29/30th. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2026, 8:49 am
