🏠Currently  in a Toronto  foster home Elsa is a 2-year-old female Husky mix, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now thriving in her foster home, Elsa has blossomed into a wonderful companion. She is affectionate, intelligent, and full of love—always ready for an outdoor adventure or a cozy cuddle on the couch.Personality & BehaviorElsa absolutely adores people and loves being part of the family. She is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s spending time with her humans. She loves meeting new people, including children, and enjoys making new friends wherever she goes.She can still get excited when greeting people and may occasionally jump up to say hello, but she has made wonderful progress and continues to improve every day. She understands the "off" command well and is learning to greet people politely with consistency.One of Elsa’s favorite things is simply being close to her people. She is a true cuddle bug who loves curling up beside her family after a fun day of adventures.Activity & TrainingElsa is a smart and eager learner who enjoys training. She already knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, down, wait, break, spin, twirl, shake a paw, and off.She also understands leave it, allowing her to calmly walk past people, dogs, squirrels, birds, and other distractions without pulling on leash.Elsa has excellent leash manners and enjoys exploring new places. She has even ridden public transit with confidence, calmly greeting people who wanted to say hello and quietly sitting or lying down when others preferred not to interact.As an active Husky mix, Elsa enjoys daily exercise and outdoor adventures. Hi… I’m Lala 💕 I’m a 3-year-old husky girl, about 15kg, a little smaller than most huskies—but perfectly squishy and cute if you ask me. I have odd eyes (yes, I know, they’re gorgeous 👀✨) and a fluffy body that’s made for hugs. My life didn’t start out easy. I was once on the list at a city shelter, but kind humans gave me a second chance. When I was rescued, I had heartworm, but it was caught early and I finished my treatment like a champ 💪 Now I’m healthy and ready to start my real life—with you. I love people. Like… really love them. I don’t care if we just met—I’ll happily come say hi, wag my tail, and ask for your attention. I adore gentle hands, affection, and being noticed. If you look at me, I’ll probably already be walking toward you 🥰 I get along great with other dogs too! I enjoy having friends and exploring the world together. On walks, I can be a little curious (okay… very curious 👃), so sometimes I pull on the leash. I’m learning though! With patience and consistency, I promise I can get better. Because I spent a long time in a shelter, home life is new to me. At first, I might need a little time to adjust. I may feel anxious when left alone, and sometimes I express my feelings with husky-style howling 🎶 (I can be a bit dramatic). I’m also still learning outdoor potty routines, so I’ll need regular walks and kind guidance. That’s why I’m hoping for a family who understands huskies—or is willing to learn about us. She is a big suck and loves humans. House trained, collar and harness trained. Listens to commands in english and french with hand gestures. Donne la patte, assis. No special diet at all. Basic brand dog food. She likes to do a quiet howl to say thank you when you wake up or when you feed her in the morning. The only thing is Bella has slightly displaced hips but she moves completely fine (running, jumping, chasing, etc) and she never complains that she is in pain, only if you lay your weight on her hips when cuddling on the sofa. She is a big loving baby and it is extremely painful to have to rehome her.

Max is a beautiful German Shepherd/Husky mix, 6 years and 7 months old, weighing about 70 lbs. He is an extremely affectionate dog with humans he knows. He loves cuddles, spending time with his family, and forming a very strong bond with his people. Despite his large size, he's a real big teddy bear full of love. Like many working dogs, Max needs an active family who understands the needs of his breed. He requires daily exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to burn off his energy in a positive way. Due to hip issues, he can't run, but he loves long walks, hikes, and swimming in lakes. Car rides are also one of his favorite activities! Max is a very intelligent dog who learns quickly and knows basic commands. In public, however, he can be easily distracted and will need a patient adopter who will continue his training using positive, reward-based methods. He cannot be walked off-leash. At home, Max is very independent and can stay alone for up to about six hours, as long as he's had enough exercise beforehand. He does not suffer from separation anxiety and is used to boarding without any difficulty. Max is looking for a home without young children, cats, or other dogs in order to provide him with a calm environment where he can truly thrive. While he may, in certain situations, be able to live with small dogs or females, this should only happen under the supervision of individuals who are highly experienced with canine behavior. Dog parks are not suitable for him. Max is particularly reactive toward large dogs, especially males, and shows strong intolerance toward muscular, short-haired breeds such as pitbulls, rottweilers, and similar breeds. It is therefore essential that his future adopter be aware of this and able to manage his walks accordingly. On leash, Max can also be reactive toward certain people if he feels the need to protect his family. This usually shows up as barking or jumping, but he remains a dog who loves humans when properly introduced. As for resource guarding, Max does not guard his food, but he can become possessive over his bones and favorite ball. With good management and a treat exchange, he easily drops his ball so it can be retrieved. As with many dogs, it's important to respect his space when he has a high-value item. Max is also a very expressive and vocal dog. When playing, he may growl or bark, but this is simply part of how he communicates and doesn't mean he's being aggressive. In addition to being incredibly intelligent, Max is an absolutely gorgeous dog who never goes unnoticed. He deserves an exceptional family who will give him all the love he deserves for the rest of his life. We hope to find him a home where he will be cherished, where he can go on adventures, explore new trails, enjoy beautiful walks, and above all, finally live the happy life he deserves. Bien qu'il puisse, dans certaines situations, cohabiter avec de petits chiens ou des femelles, cela doit uniquement se faire sous la supervision de personnes très expérimentées en comportement canin. Les parcs à chiens ne sont pas adaptés pour lui. Max est particulièrement réactif envers les chiens de grande taille, surtout les mâles, et démontre une forte intolérance envers les chiens musclés à poil court, comme les pitbulls, les rottweilers et les races similaires. Il est donc essentiel que son futur adoptant soit conscient de cette réalité et soit capable de bien gérer ses promenades. En laisse, Max peut aussi être réactif envers certaines personnes s'il ressent le besoin de protéger sa famille. Cette réaction se manifeste généralement par des aboiements ou en sautant, mais il demeure un chien qui adore les humains lorsqu'il est présenté de façon appropriée. Côté ressources, Max ne protège pas sa nourriture, mais il peut devenir possessif avec ses os et sa balle préférée. Avec une bonne gestion et un échange contre une gâterie, il laisse facilement tomber sa balle pour qu'on puisse la récupérer. Comme pour plusieurs chiens, il est important de respecter son espace lorsqu'il a un objet de grande valeur. Max est également un chien très expressif et vocal. Lorsqu'il joue, il peut grogner ou japper, mais cela fait simplement partie de sa façon de communiquer et ne signifie pas qu'il est agressif. En plus d'être incroyablement intelligent, Max est un chien absolument magnifique qui ne passe jamais inaperçu. Il mérite une famille exceptionnelle qui lui offrira tout l'amour qu'il mérite pour le reste de sa vie.
