Zara is Yet another “stray” husky from Scranton. She’s a year old, playful and full of fun in addition she will also require someone experienced with husky behavior, primarily stubbornness and over enthusiastic mouthing. You will need to have a confident handling ability and to be the pack leader or she will take advantage of you. She’s a typical husky with unbridled enthusiasm and curiosity. She’s fine with other dogs but she’s a lot of puppy and may be too much for some dogs who don’t like her like -over enthusiastic nature .We will be happy to test her with any dogs in your current pack!We are sure she will make you smile and we are overflowing with huskies so please give Zara or one of her fluffy friends a chance at a forever family !She will be cat tested.Apply to meet this smiley, blue eyed beauty here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsGriffin Pond Animal Shelter967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411Kennel License #2236

Story
Balto is a high energy husky. We do not require a fence for you to adopt from Griffin Pond, it’s a common misconception we frequently hear, but fences are not required to adopt. However,SOME DOGS, for added security safety and the protection of the dog, require fencing as an added layer of caution.Balto is fully recovered from a broken leg but he’s struggling due to the confinement of the kennels. He definitely wants to run , that’s what got him in this predicament in the first place. We are looking for someone who can allow him to burn off his energy both mentally and physically .He’s almost 2 years old and weighs 66 pounds.A fenced in yard would be a good start and husky experience a huge help.Huskys are known escape artists and they need to be kept busy to keep from becoming bored. He’s strong and just wants to keep moving. An active family would be his best fit. Please consider helping this boy heal outside of the kennels . Suka is the definition of A Husky ..She is wild, wonderful and waiting for a forever home. She’s 7 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She’s all fluff ! This girl knows how to wiggle when she walks and you’ll definitely know where to find her, she has the “husky howl” down to a science ?? Suka has tested well with other dogs, she will need to be tested with other dogs in the home for compatibility. She needs a yard with a fence as with most huskies , she can be an escape artist. She also doesn’t like being confined. She would prefer someone who is home most of the time and can give her all of the attention she desires.Apply to meet this fluffy beauty here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogs Griffin Pond Animal Shelter Kennel License #2236967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411

Story
Missy is the best little girl. Cutest little mini husky. She is about a year old and a petite 45 lbs of adorable and sweet. She is good with dogs, kids, and cats. Missy just wants to be by someones side at all times, and to sleep in bed with you. She is so silly, and  gentle, and clingy, and loves toys. Great in the car and going to work with you. Needs another dog and a fenced yard. Truly just the cutest thing. A must meet, for she will steal your heart for sure. Great gal! LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   September 10, 2026, 9:23 am

Story
Frank is the best boy. He is a very loving boy but he doesn’t like to be left alone. he’s the most loving dog ever. He is calm when he is with someone. He is crate trained and house trained. Loves fetch and loves to be outside. He would do well with a family who has a yard he can run in and tons of playtime. Unfortunately I cannot dedicate the time he needs, he hates the vet and requires medication when going. He loves the groomer but hates his nails cut. He isn’t aggressive but he is scared. He can be protective over the person he loves. Frank can use someone who can spend the time helping him build his confidence and training skills. He can sit, lay down, stay, and he loves to talk in the mornings. I love Frank with my whole heart but I feel it’s unfair to him to be home alone for the amount of time I am gone.
