Balto is a high energy husky.We do not require a fence for you to adopt from Griffin Pond, it’s a common misconception we frequently hear, but fences are not required to adopt.However,SOME DOGS, for added security safety and the protection of the dog, require fencing as an added layer of caution.Balto is fully recovered from a broken leg but he’s struggling due to the confinement of the kennels. He definitely wants to run , that’s what got him in this predicament in the first place.We are looking for someone who can allow him to burn off his energy both mentally and physically .He’s almost 2 years old and weighs 66 pounds.A fenced in yard would be a good start and husky experience a huge help.Huskys are known escape artists and they need to be kept busy to keep from becoming bored.He’s strong and just wants to keep moving.An active family would be his best fit.Please consider helping this boy heal outside of the kennels . He gets along great with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to wrestle with.
