Arrow Update ?????He is All Husky ??We haven’t had any indication of issues once he was back at the shelter . He continues to recover, his levels are continuing to be monitored and we are moving forward with hoping to find him a forever home. Our staff chose the most appropriate costume for him this year ??He responded to the antibiotics and it’s likely we still never know what caused him to be so desperately ill.We can also safely assume no one is looking for him since he has been shared all over the internet. We’re still so grateful for the quick response from Moosic Pd and the support from our Humane Officer in getting him the emergency treatment that saved his life.Hes estimated to be 5 years old and weighs 42 pounds. If you are interested in meeting Arrow, please apply here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsGriffin Pond Animal Shelter 967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411 Kennel License #2236

Story
Maverick is the sweetest Husky boy. All of the things you love about this breed, and none of the quirky things. Maverick is about 2 years old and a lean 65 lbs of goofy, playful, affection. He loves everyone and dogs. He is smart and super affectionate. Loves the car and is so well mannered in a home. Husky experience and a fenced yard are a must with this type of breed. Truly just a wonderful, handsome boy... LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   November 7, 2025, 10:26 am

Story
Aspen is such a handsome, goofy, silly, wooley Husky, who has been misunderstood, and passed around too many times in his short 3 years of life. He is well mannered and knows commands and weighs about 65 lbs. People got him as a cute fluffy puppy, and had no idea what a Husky is actually like. So after about a year, he was passed on to another family, with the same end result, due to thier lack of dog/Husky experience. He ended up a a shelter, then another inexperienced type of home with no fenced yard, so he took off. This poor guy is just the best. Typical Husky who needs an experienced Husky home and a fenced yard . He is SO friendly and social and such an incredible boy, whose stunning looks have landed him in all the wrong homes. He is great with people and most dogs (no cats). He is so handsome and loving and gentle, and great in the car. Aspen does have that Husky stubborn streak at times, so again, breed experience and a fenced yard are a must. Please, come meet Aspen and let your home be his forever home - he is so ready and so deserves the best home ever.  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility.
