Nilla

Husky Flat-Coated Retriever

Female, Senior
Smithville, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nilla is an incredibly sweet girl and is the definition of the term, “couch potato.” She gives and receives affection with great joy, and, as is the case with most rescue dogs, is grateful for absolutely everything. She was found wearing an old sweater and wandering in front of a department store in south Texas in December 2024. She was taken in by a kind bystander and although measures were taken to find her owner in case she’d gotten lost, no owner was found. At the time she was not microchipped and was not wearing a collar or tags. It is very possible that she had been loved since she is very calm and loving, but since many pet owners can no longer afford care, she might have been left in front of the store if her owner hoped for a better life for this sweet girl. Nilla is in foster care in Texas. You won’t be sorry if you give her a chance. Nilla is good with dogs/kids/cats; house/kennel trained; completely vetted; and has her very own suitcase, which she will pack ASAP.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This sweet husky girl was abandoned by her family when they moved out of our neighborhood. We have been feeding her and giving her water but can’t keep her long term and she has been living outside. All local shelters are full and cannot take her in. With the Texas heat I worry about her being outside all day. Her temperament is extremely sweet and docile. She will walk with you and sit with you and just looking for someone to love. I feel terrible for her and hope someone can provide a loving home for her moving forward. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. My knowledge on her is limited as far as shots and age go but after interacting with her for the last few weeks I can tell you she has a heart of gold and will make an amazing pet.

He is the sweetest most well behaved dog we have ever had. He listens so well, and have never once been aggressive towards a human. He has very few issues with other dogs, and none that were started by him. He is loyal to a fault. He is a big goofball and will play all day long.

Story
Koda was my mom’s dog and I cannot care for him or give him the attention he deserves. He is super sweet, very loving. He is seven years old, loves to walk every day! He loves to be outside in the winter and in the cool AC during summer days. He is gentle with my children and very good natured companion.
