Story
Meet Chandler 🐾 Chandler is a 1-year-old husky mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of curiosity. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life, he takes it all in. Whether it’s a quiet walk on the trail, watching the world go by, or stopping to sniff every interesting scent, Chandler is happiest simply being by your side. He walks beautifully on leash with little to no pulling and has a calm, easygoing presence that makes him a joy to take anywhere. He loves meeting new people and greets everyone with a soft, friendly demeanor. Add in his love for water and the outdoors, and you’ve got the perfect adventure companion. Chandler does best with female dogs or dogs that have a more relaxed, non-dominant energy. He appreciates respectful canine friendships and thrives in a peaceful environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet-natured companion who will explore the world with you at a thoughtful pace, Chandler might just be your perfect match. 💛

Story
...Paco is a young, energetic, and adventurous Husky who is ready to find his forever home! He originally came to us after being found running around Clover Island in Kennewick. No one came looking for this beautiful boy, and after his stray hold was up, he was adopted into a loving home. Unfortunately, that home later became unavailable, and Paco was surrendered back to us through no fault of his own.Like many Huskies, Paco has a bit of an escape artist streak. If he sees an opening, he may try to make a break for it, so a secure, high fence will be essential to keeping this adventurous boy safe. He is also an active dog who will need plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep his busy mind and body happy.Paco has previously lived with other dogs. During one of his meet-and-greets, he did well with a small dog, but once in the home, he began viewing that dog as something to chase and chew on. Because of this, he would do best with dogs closer to his own size and should not live with small animals. At just a little over a year old, Paco is still very much a puppy at heart. He can be mouthy and playful, which is common for his breed and age, and he will need continued training and guidance to learn appropriate ways to play and interact. He is friendly with every person he meets and, once he settles in, is a fun, spirited companion who loves to explore, play, and enjoy life.Paco will do best with experienced dog owners who understand the unique needs of Huskies and are prepared for their energy, independence, and occasional mischievousness. He needs a patient and committed family who can provide structure, training, exercise, and—most importantly—a secure environment.Paco is a wonderful, friendly young dog who has a lot of love and personality to offer. He just needs the right person who is ready to keep up with him and help him become the best dog he can be!Paco`s adoption fee is $50, which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and deworming and flea treatment.

Story
Oso was adopted from a family who had all his brother and sisters. He caught our eye with his beautiful polka dots and different colored eyes. He is very energetic and enjoys being outside with his family. He loves playing catch, rolling in the grass and is friendly with kids. He loves to cuddle and play in the snow. He knows how to give a handshake and roll over for a yummy treat! We’re hoping he can go to a loving family or someone who needs a companion. He loves attention & we’re hoping someone can give him all of that.

Story
...Everest was picked up by Animal Control on Brooklyn Lane in Pasco and is suspected to have been abandoned. She currently weighs 50 pounds, is spayed, and is ready to go home today!Everest arrived at the shelter alongside another large dog we named Zora, who has already found her forever home. Now it`s Everest`s turn, and we`d love to see her get the same happy ending. It`s hard to imagine how a dog like Everest found herself without a family, but she`s ready to leave the past behind and start looking toward a brighter future. As a newer arrival, we`re still getting to know her personality as she settles into shelter life, and each day she becomes a little more comfortable.Sometimes the best way to get to know a dog isn`t through a profile—it`s by meeting them in person. If you`re looking for a new companion and are willing to give Everest the time she deserves to settle into a home, we`d love for you to come meet her and see if there`s a connection.Since Everest came to us through Animal Control, her history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended when bringing a new pet into the home.Everest`s adoption fee is $50. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed, and as a stray-intake animal control facility, animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet Everest today.
