Story
Where are all of my strong, independent girlies at? My name is Sassy and it fits; I like to keep my inner circle small and would prefer to be your one and only. I`ve had my fair share of homes and transitions so I`m hoping to find the one that sticks. Adventurous adults are my vibe, small children or dogs that share my home not so much. I know my forever is out there and I just can`t wait to find it.

Story
Hey friends! They call me Chewy and tell me that I`m a good boy and I`m sure hoping that you feel the same way, too. I`ve got beautiful blue eyes, a stubborn streak and the smarts and wit common to my breed. I enjoy spending time outside, playing fetch and singing the songs of my people. I`m tolerant of other dogs but do not want to share treats or high value items. You look like you could be a forever kind of human, let`s make my dreams come true!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Sandra Wardell COURTESY POST - This dog will not be adopted through ABMR - Please contact owner (information at bottom of this bio) Ruthie is an amazing dog. She's super sweet and smart and we love her. She loves to play fetch at the dog park (watching her run is amazing!) or even in the living room with her favorite toy. She loves long walks and is great on a leash. She is totally housebroken and doesn't have accidents or destroy stuff in the house. She's an excellent watchdog and guards us from everything ;-) We adopted Ruthie from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society 3 years ago as a tiny puppy, one of 12 in a litter left under a bridge. Our youngest dog has been bugging Ruthie for fun and play, which she loves for a while -- but eventually she asserts herself as alpha and has bitten her dog sibling a few times. She's had no problems with our other, more submissive dog. But since we also have little kids we're concerned. Heartbroken, we know she'd be happier in a home without all our chaos -- other dogs, little kids, cats, etc. -- a solo dog with an active, loving family. Whoever adopts her will be very lucky indeed. If interested in adopting Ruthie, please email Nell at  nellmc28@gmail.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  August 31, 2026, 1:44 pm

Story
Meet Presley! Presley is a 63lb husky mix. He is a quiet, polite, and respectful boy. Presley is potty trained and knows how to sit, stay, and lay down. He can be a little shy at first, but he really comes out of his shell when he is with his brother Blue. They are bonded and will need to go to a home together. Presley and Blue keep each other busy, and comfortable. They are the best of friends and cannot be separated. They both seem to like other dogs; they don't mind cats and may do well with older children. Presley is approximately 3 years old. Blue and Presley's adoption fee will be $100 for the pair. Presley is neutered, current on vaccines, micro chipped and heart worm negative. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Blue and Presley please submit a dog application on our website www.hspcwi.org. The approved adopter will be contacted within three business days for an appointment to meet him. If all goes well, Blue and Presley can go home the same day. All dog adoptions come with a leash, collar, toys and 3 days of food. The adopter is given copies of all medical records. If the adopter is a resident of Portage County a dog license will be issued at the time of adoption.August 31, 2026, 10:04 pm

Moana is a great dog sleeps inside was lloved heavily by her owner my ex stepdaughter. I know she has thousands of photos on her phone. She cannot have where she moved. My ex has nothing to do with the dog no longer and doesn't not want Moana. I currently can't take her with my living arrangements. Potty trained. Loves walks needs a fenced in yard. She is 9 years old. I will pay shots and spay fee if wanted. A crappy situation and sad that I was put into this situation before she was taken to humane society.

Story
Hi! My name is Bandit, and I’m a 1-year-old boy who came to the shelter as a stray.I’m a very nervous and shy pup, so I may need a little time to feel comfortable and trust new people. I appreciate having my own space and someone who understands that I like to take things at my own pace.Once I feel safe, you’ll see my sweet side! Deep down, I’m just a gentle boy who wants to be loved and have someone I can call my own. With patience, kindness, and lots of love, I’m hoping to blossom into the happy, confident pup I know I can be.If you’re looking for a sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him a chance, Bandit may be your perfect match!
