Gump is a sweet three year old JRT/chi mix.  He transferred from another rescue that did not have room for him, where he had been brought in as an unclaimed stray.  Gump is happy, friendly, loving, calm and does well with other dogs and I assume cats too.  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea preventives.  Gump's adoption fee is a donation to the rescue in the amount of $500.April 27, 2024, 2:36 pm

Story
Cookie is a total sweetheart! She is funny, smart, and has a larger-than-life personality. She is beautiful inside and out! You couldn't ask for a more loveable dog! She LOVES to play fetch, tug-of-war, and run! She is super adorable! The cookie is approx 5-6, 50 pounds and more than likely a Jack Russell Terrier mix. What a fantastic companion dog she is! She loves everyone and seems to be fine around other dogs. She does guard her food so definitely needs to be fed separately. I'm sure she would prefer a home where she could be someone's one and only and truly she deserves to be a princess! I cannot stress enough how marvelous she is! Sadly Cookie lost her family after a tragic accident and nearly lost her life after a storm run through the animal control building she was in, but luckily we saved this amazing gal so someone special could adopt and love her. If you're a lonely person with a home and a fenced-in yard you may wish to adopt Cookie. She will brighten your life! Cookie has been fully medically vetted and on monthly prevention plus microchipped. Story
Bruno, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, wandered sinto a family’s yard and though very shy at first, he gradually warmed up to them. They took care of him and tried to find his owners, but they could not keep him. In the meantime, their little girl called him Bruno, and it stuck. Treated for heartworm and doing well, this little 16-pound guy may be about 4 years old but he’s still as spunky as a pup. The possible JRT mix may have something to do with that because he’s quite a character! Sometimes he “sings”, hops like a jumping bean and sucks on his blanket when he’s ready to settle in for a nap. He likes all people, including kids, but would probably prefer to be an only dog. Bruno would be an entertaining companion for an older person or couple because he really likes getting all of the attention. By the way, the family and their little girl still stay in touch with Bruno and are keeping their fingers crossed he will have his own family soon.  (1/15/24, RM) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . Story
Sweet Pea and Cory are 5 months old and adorable!  Although we think they're sister and brother, we see a different mix in each. Both are Jack Russell Terrier mixes but we also see Rat Terrier in Sweet Pea and Jack Russell and Beagle in Cory! Different dads?  What we know for sure is that they both have great personalities. They’re good with other dogs, kids and their foster’s cat.   They’re good looking, too, in their short coats of white and tan. Although they both weigh between 18 and 20 pounds now, in puppyhood, they’ll mature to between 40 and 45 pounds.  Sweet Pea and Cory!  What fine pups!  (posted 1/19/24, TN)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip .
