Story
Doug is a charming male Jack Russell Terrier mix with a handsome white-and-red coat and a personality that lights up any room. He absolutely adores people and believes every human is a friend he just hasn’t met yet. Doug is especially great with kids—gentle, affectionate, and always ready to soak up attention. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile, Doug is your guy.One of Doug’s most endearing traits is that he loves to talk. Whether he’s sharing his thoughts about his day or asking for a little extra love, he’s always part of the conversation. Sweet, social, and full of character, Doug would thrive in a home where he can be included as a true family member. He’s the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Story
Meet J.D. He is the sweetest boy you've ever seen. At about 10 weeks old, J.D. wants to run, play non-stop, and get all the love and pets.  J.D. is said to be a Jack Russell mix. He is working on potty training and crate training. Though, he would much rather curl up to his person than curl up alone in his crate. He gets along great with dogs and kids and I would imagine cats. As he is still a baby and continuing to get to know the world around him! J.D. is up to date on vaccines and will be scheduled for his neuter. He loves to cuddle and be held and loved on. He is a busy, growing boy. If you think J.D. would be a good fit for your family, please put in an application. https://form.jotform.com/252557613883163February 4, 2026, 2:58 am

UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Yappy. This sweet girl and her littermates were found by volunteers near their property. They appear to be terrier mix. They are around 6 ish months old and 10ish lbs. We believe they will be small- medium sized adults. They are spunky and playful little guys. They are utd, altered and ready for forever homes! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Story
UPDATE!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Brylee! She’s was surrendered with her sisters when they could no longer get proper attention from their family. She is a Jack Russell who is 1 year old and 19lbs. She’s spunky and sweet. Great with other animals and people. She doesn’t meet a stranger and has plenty of playful energy for a family with kids and other pups. She is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and spayed. Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
