He’s the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $200 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.

Chico is a 4-year-old Rat Terrier I took in from a friend. When he first came to me, he was a little shy, but he has grown so much and continues to gain confidence every day. He warms up quickly and is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. Once he bonds with you, he loves staying close and being part of whatever you’re doing. He is fully house-trained and has never had an accident indoors. Chico enjoys walks, relaxing at home, and spending time with his people. He does well around other dogs and has a calm, easygoing temperament. Unfortunately, my Husky does not do well with other dogs, and Chico deserves a home where he can feel completely safe and thrive. He would make a loyal, loving addition to the right family.
